It took me several visits to find the right person at Verizon Wireless (VZW) to help me get the Yeacomm 4G LTE CPE Router set up on the VZW network.First, the Customer Service Rep (CSR) for VZW tried to scan the IMEI; it said, “this device is not compatible with our network.” Instead, the CSR activated the SIM in one of their Jetpack devices, moved it to my device, and waited for the blue up and down arrows to come on to show the VZW signal was being received. We could not get the device to work in the store. After arriving home, I read the instructions in the box to set up the device and connected the Yeacom via my PC. The key was to add the VZW APN in the appropriate box; after that, it started to work. You can find the appropriate APN online. You should also consider renaming your network and creating a password.I have Verizon DSL at home, twenty-year old obsolete technology. I typically get one or two bars of VZW network strength on my Yeacomm and this device outperforms my Verizon DSL service hands-down.

I can see that your device ZLT P21 is not compatible with the Cricket Network due to network changes. Oh?This is the reason you would not be able to get hotspot plan on your line. How to make it work for internet? As the device is not compatible, you will not be able to use Hotspot data. Phone and sms worksYes, it does work.To improve our network performance and to ensure the best experience, Cricket is retiring the 3G network in February 2022. The device you have will no longer be supported by the network. In order to maintain your service, please insert your SIM into an HD Voice capable device. LTE worksYes, the internet works, however the device will not work after February 2022.It shows 4g though? Still no work? This is a great device, but I see that it is not equipped with to operate with Cricket’s HD Voice Network. Cricket recently made network changes that require all devices to be HD Voice compatible on Cricket’s HD Voice network.

I opened it up, put a t-mobile sim in it, and it worked ! I set the TTL,I connected it to my WAN after I speed tested the T-Mobile, It will fail over automaticly, if your WAN goes down.they include a sim adapter, that really helped. The instructions seemed just fine for me.they include an email to contact them. I wasnt sure how to setup the VPN so I sent them a message.A few features I wish it had was as a repeater also, with failover. and that it also had wifi AC for the better speeds when connecting and trandfering files to a server.BUT… it is the best value for the money hands down. I researched for several days, I thought this was a gamble, so I bought it on amazon, just so I could return it, if it didnt work or it was tom complicated.BUT.. I am impressed, and would buy it again for sure.Michael

I cannot believe this. NOTHING in my life is this easy!!! I bought a card and activated. Put it in, did a “test” run to hook up my cell. No problem and fast. .ok, this can’t be right.Disconnected that, hooked on my Roku TV. Ah. See there is a problem! Turns out I just had to Capitolize the letters in the pass code.OMG!! IT WORKED!! Really super fast! No buffering! Watched Sling TV!!! THIS IS NUTS!!!OK, Calm down. The real test will be in the truck.I drive truck, I’m only home 2 days a week. I’m paying $80 for internet at home I don’t use much, used my cell thru Spectrum with unlimited-but not unlimited at $80. As soon as I use a certain amount it slows it down. Trying to talk on my Portal in my truck is ridiculous when I have gone over.So I came up with this hare brained idea to get a portable hotspot. I’m getting rid of the home internet, and dropping my cell data down to by the gig, to see how much I actually use when I’m out of the truck. Otherwise, everything including the phone will be hooked to this little beauty!

—– ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW THIS UPDATE (JAN 2021) —-I just wanted to come back here since my original review. Still works. But I notice this device is not offered as part of the results when doing a search on ‘4G LTE modem.’ I was trying to find it to update the review thinking it would be the top product in the search result, but I could not find it. Had to go to my orders and searched for it there, to get here. Anyway, will update on durability in a few months again. But we still recommend this 4G LTE (located in USA using T-Mobile) over the other shady alternatives here on Amazon that I would not trust. I did read a new review here reporting there are privacy issues. So I hope the company has patched them with a new firmware update since.—-INITIAL, ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW——-Purchased for when I am on a ship (active duty) in port, used for my own laptop and devices. The modem is easy to set up. I basically inserted a new T Mobile sim card, and can use the data right away. Seems also adequate 4G LTE speeds. Comes with a sim size adapters. This router is rather expensive, but got the best review compared to the others here available on Amazon. so I hope it last for a long while. I will update it in a few months or so, and hopefully it functions as it is supposed to for a long while. My complaint so far is that the antennas do not fold away and sticks out awkward because you have to screw them rigidly on each time when you set it up the router for use. I mean I guess you can leave them on, but they don’t fold down, so if you have to carry the modem into your bag, you don’t want the antennas sticking out like that and risking them breaking. But so far so good and the data signal was immediate, and I was able to use this 4g LTE router instantly.

AMAZING!I purchased this for my vacation house in the Poconos! II wanted an inexpensive way to get internet…. mostly for my security cameras….This worked Beutifully!First…. the price point is Amazing!Works with T-Mobile and Mint Mobile…. verified with my own Sim Cards!I get spotty reception with my cellphone to begin with…. I mounted this in my roof on one of the rafters and I was able to pickup 3 bars and all is good! There are very few towers and far away at my location! My suggestion is… lookup what towers are near you… see what towers your cell phone connects to and see what bands that tower is using. Compare that to the supported bands on the router… if you gat a match… your good to go!Also…. the wifi range is great! I have a wood framed home…. I have this mounted on the roof…. the signal reaches to the basement and around 50 feet away from my house..Things would be different in a concrete/ brick structure… I tested this in an apartment building and got bad wifi range! This unit will not accept external cell antennas… verified, I purchased an external antenna and was not detected.Good luck!

Surprise this thing rocks! I was using a Nighthawk WiFi hotspot, this thing seriously blows it away. I live rural and cell WiFi is my only option besides satellite, so I wanted something better and I checked Amazon and here we are.Easy to understand instructions and after putting together and installing my sim I was powered up. After linking up and tweaking a few settings I had a better signal and then better WiFi speed and signal, and I mean way better then I had. I’m able to play COD Warzone with a decent lag of around 58ms which for me is real good. We also have pretty good streaming with almost no buffering. I’d recommend you try if you were or are in my former Nighthawk situation try this.

This 4G LTE router works as described, you’ll have to know how to set up a home router/wifi in order to get it working. Out of the box you can connect to the wifi with the WPS button, and from there access the admin portal for the rest of the setup if you have a laptop with no RJ45 port like mine.WiFi signal it puts out is good typical of a wireless N device. I’ve burned through 40GB of data over the weekend camping in my RV watching Netflix without issue. One of the best selling point for me is the external antenna is detachable which means you can upgrade to better ones or have one mounted higher up depending on your area. After some emails back and forth with support, it seems there is a higher privilege account “root” to access advance feature items like band/frequency lock which I can confirm works. Using Visible cellular service which runs on Verizon at my house it was pushing me to band 5 which only had 1-2 bars, I noticed after booting up it connects to band 4 with full bars and could not find the band lock feature like they described. After contacting support they were helpful to inform me of the root account. On the device side its a 5 star product for me based on it working as its suppose to, I’m very familiar with configuring routers and such so not a big deal but may be for some. But on the support side maybe 4 star since firmware and root account not published… maybe I overlooked instructions. But one concerns is that the root password is admin which can’t be changed. Not a big deal since I don’t have sensitive data plugged into this device or the device contains sensitive data. But then isn’t big brother always watching? No point in hiding…Just need an active SIM card and the correct APN settings and it should work. Tested on Verizon and T-Mobile.

Arrived on time, setting up was easy just follow the instruction manual included. Using my AT&T SIM card and make sure you have a plan that includes personal hotspot no need to call to register your IMEI.
