This survival kit comes with everything needed for those just in case moments. The case that everything comes in is hard case and can be left in a car or anywhere else and not have to worry about it breaking. Compact for easy carrying and can fit in a hiking back pack without taking up much space. The knife it came with is already sharp so no need to sharpen it. The compass that it comes with is in working condition, tested this out with a cell phone compass. Haven’t had to use this but if I did, it comes with everything I would need to survive.

This is great to have for long hikes but also in emergency situations. It has all the most important survival items including two fire starters, cutting tool, whistles, two flashlights, mylar blanket all in a waterproof hard case. Quality seems really good. I’m pleased with this item.

Took this out camping in Dixi, UT last weekend. It was awesome! All the tools were useful, practical, and well made. Gave me all the things I needed to stay feeling safe and give some practical use. My favorite is the fire starter. My friend tried to show me some more difficult methods to start a fire and I wow’d him with a trick I found on youtube. Take the firestarter and shave some magnesium into a sheet of paper. After you have a fair amount of shavings hit it hard to make a spark towards the shavings – WOOSH – the paper will like right up. Throw it on the dry pines or whatever you have to get the fire started and start enjoying warmth. This was the easiest fire I have ever started! Everything else was just a bonus. A decent night to use with the kit, a well made para cord bracelet, flashlight, compass, etc. and it all stays secure in a case that easily fits even in small hiking packs. For the cost this is a win!

Wow there is so much stuff in this little container! The tools just kept on coming out. For starters and what I appreciated the most isn’t just the amount of tools that came in this survival set but the quality of the pieces. For example the tactical pen, the stainless steel multi tool, and the flashlight(amounts all the other ones) all felt like high grade metal and ready for rugged use.I particularly liked the portable cutting wire which I never had in any of my kits I had in my car.I’ve been gifted multi-tools that are supposed to fit into my wallet but they are big and heavy. The one that came with this set is exactly what a multi tool is supposed to fee and look like viz. small, compact, and well made.I really like the foresight in making the philips and flat head screw drivers with a flat and round end to give your fingers leverage and a more comfortable experience. It was obviously designed by people that are campers themselves. My nephew is joining the Boy Scouts next summer and I think that this will make a great gift for him.

I give this lil survival emergency pack 5 stars I use the knife out in my garden daily so far no problems with it. I like that it is small and I submerged the box in a bucket of water the contents didnt get wet. I will be buying 3 more for my daughters and my bug out bags. This one is for the car. So far I like it. If I had any qualms it’s getting everything back in there after you open it. It’s like over packin for a vacation lmfaooo and somebodys fat ass gotta sit on it to close it. But far as that ?? from me.

Decent survival gear kit for the price. We are starting to assemble “grab n’ go” type kits for our family in the event of a natural disaster or if crap ever hits the fan….so this compact set was a nice addition. Cannot speak to the durability as of yet, but the items inside the kit appear to be pretty well made. However, the case itself that they are contained in is not very heavy duty. The plastic is slightly thinner than expected and was bulged out with all of the items packed inside (I mean there is a lot inside after all), making it nearly impossible to have all of the latches closed. Only wish that the box was slightly bigger and/or more durable to compensate for the amount of stuff inside. But overall, it will make a great addition to our emergency kit!

I purchased this kit as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is very handy and a big fan of the survival show “SOS”. The kit came packed with all kinds of super-useful tools that are exactly the kind of items Creek Stewart recommends on “SOS”, in a small light-weight shell that is easy to store and carry. My husband was particularly taken with the para-cord multi-tool—something you could quickly clip on to your wrist or bag on your way out. Our only criticism, which is somewhat minor, is that the case can be hard to repack since the items do not have designated spots inside it. You have to just stack everything in and close the case quickly. Other than that minor design flaw, this is a great purchase!

This kit gives you quite a bit for the price. Ive tested out most items and they seem to function as intended(even the firestarters). For the $27 I paid, its a darn good deal. There is so much packed in this little case that I had trouble repacking it after I unloaded it. I decided to keep the emergency blanket out separate from the case so that I could close it without having to crush anything. There are a few tools that are redundant, like multiple firestarters, multiple compasses, multiple whistles. I thought maybe a different tool could have been added in place of the redundant ones, but that’s a minor thing. One thing I would suggest adding to this kit would be a little paper diagram naming each tool, just like the picture on the Amazon listing. That would help my family members know what each tool is for if they ever had to use it and also work as an inventory checklist to make sure everything that should be in the kit is there. I will probably print that picture and add it to the kit I purchased.I will be buying a couple more of these so that we will have one in each car and at home in our camping gear as well.

Nice case, very heavy duty. I like the contents, although there are some duplications of functions. The knife is ok, but if you’re using this in a true survival situation, that knife is going to break in a matter of days. The blade is ok, but the entire thing should have a sturdier body. The ever-present paracord bracelet is nice to have because it’s got a nice little compass and whistle built-in, but then they go and include a “fancier” compass and an additional whistle. The tactical pen is nice, but nothing to write on…although the wee bit of first aid was nice. Nothing to use in the needle, though! I always put a needle, safety pins, and dental floss in my EDC…this one says on the page that it makes a good fishing kit but there’s nothing in here really to help you with fishing. So you might want to stash some floss and a few safety pins in this kit, just in case. The flashlight is good, stock up on a couple of extra batteries. Firestarting gear is much appreciated, but really you should practice with it if you’re going to use it…it’s not magic, and takes some work. Again, there’s a duplicate with the light (battery button light that you can put on your keychain or belt loop, and while the standard and Phillips head screwdrivers are nice, they’re not something that you will probably need in a survival situation. That’s just more for taking stuff apart or putting stuff together…stuff that has instructions, screws, and is NOT something that you’d really carry EDC. Handy, yet, but a necessity, no. Same for the Bottle carrying strap. Nope. Sure, it frees up your hands…but it also is made for a little 20-ounce bottle and that’s only part of the water you need per day to survive. A nice little filtration straw or water purifying tablets would be nice, and I would also add a bandana to this getup. So, there’s a lot in here that I would PERSONALLY change, but all of it (well almost all) can be useful in a survival situation. Good kit and the box is really sturdy and not cheap.

My son is going to be so excited to get this survival kit. He is always digging things out of our camping gear to explore or bring hiking with us. I don’t like when my gear goes missing in his room so we both will appreciate him having his own supplies. He now has everything I have and more! It really is amazing how much they fit into this compact carrying case. It is the perfect size to fit into a weekend or day pack. He has been learning how to use things like the flint and steel in his colonial studies at school to start fires. The next time we go camping I have no doubt he will be testing all this gear out. Everything feels like really good quality. They are certainly as good as many of the things I have bought individually like the fire starter, survival bracelet, compass and tactical pen to keep in my car. He will be really happy about the knife since he lost his on our last camping trip. Hopefully the carrying case ensures that he is able to keep track of everything. I’m really happy with this kit for the price. It is a great assortment and has some things I never even knew might be handy. I think I might need a wire saw for myself now.
