I am an MD and was a trauma surgeon. This is a great pre made kit for home/car/bug bag, and doesn’t have extra useless items like some and would cost way more to put together item by item.-The trauma shears work but could be better and I swapped out and use the ones that came as general shears. The other items are all solid quality.-I added vented chest seals, and a decompression needle- which require professional training, quick clot, and an Israeli dressingAs is, it’s pretty much a full field kit at a great price. The bag’s quick open feature is well designed and after organizing it, could treat rapidly. I bought it with the 72-hr bag and the two first aid kits mostly complement each other without unneeded redundancy, and one trauma kit for the car, secured in reach of driver seat.

I only added a very few things. I took nothing out. I swapped a heavier pair of scissors (with an oxygen bottle wrench built-in) for the original pair … but kept the original pair for use in another kit. I added a couple vented chest seals (I am at the range with some frequency, so a gun shot wound is probably a higher priority for me than for some) to the un-vented pair in the bag, along with a couple tampons, some Anbesol, some (a few) 600 mg Ibuprofen and a pulse/oximeter. If I had a morphine injector or adrenaline, I’d make room for it. Somehow. The case is packed with good stuff … not “boo-boo” adhesive strips. It isn’t a doctor-in-a-bag … it’s function is to keep someone alive long enough to get them to skilled help. Please note: “going to the range” should not imply that gun shot wounds there are frequent … the guys at the range are some of the most courteous and safety-conscious people you will ever meet … just that they are (only slightly) more likely to happen there than at home reading a book.

Wow, so I’m starting my prepping and saw this kit. I got it because it’s not your “normal first aid kit.” It has stuff you would not think about having until to late. I’ve shown this to some people and they all say they want one. I will be going back and ordering a different kit soon. I pray I never have to use it, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry. It is a tad bulky on my mollie bag, but I found a way to carry it without it getting in my way. The pac itself seems really sturdy so far none of the seams have come undone. Overall I am really happy with this, and I do pray I never have to use it, just my basic first aid kit…..

The price and quality really can’t be beat. I was expecting a cheap tourniquet so I had purchased my own and it turned out to have the exact brand I bought so that turned out great! I love that it’s veteran owned as I’m currently in the ARNG (mp) so Ik my money is going to a good brand and to people that deserve it rather than generic Chinese companies looking for a quick buck. 10/10 would buy again if need be!

This is a pretty good AFAK, I have added some quickclot gauze and some vented chest seals to mine. The kit comes with 2 non-vented chest seals for one entry and exit wound but I just prefer to have vented ones in the kit as well. It also comes with standard gauze but I would like to have some quickclot just in case I have to work with someone who has clotting problems. It’s a good kit for someone who might be new to building a first aid kit. If you are more familiar with rapid response I would also add some celox granules or some other hemostatic aid as well. The container itself is good quality as well. The MOLLE backing allows it to be strapped to a headrest in a vehicle or to something that has a MOLLE system and be easily pulled off in case of an emergency. Inside it has a tear-away pouch that has simple first aid items like gauze and alcohol swabs for more minor treatment. All around I feel safer and more prepared with this AFAK in my possession.

Ok so I don’t do too many reviews, but this I had to comment on. I am a former Boy Scout and EMT. I worked in the Emergency Room for 6 years. Only mention that to assure you I take first-aid somewhat seriously. So much so in-fact, that I find myself needing to build my own FAK’s. Not a huge deal, but it’s a lot of buying individual things, getting the quantity right, then finding a suitable container to put it all in that will withstand years in a daily driving vehicle.I have searched on here before, for ready-made kits, just to reduce the amount of manual steps I have to take. Sadly, all the kits I find are either A) grossly overpriced for the contents, or B) sadly lacking things I would like, or C) both. This kit surprisingly checked ALL the boxes. -Well priced, -Complete trauma kit, -packaged securely – excellent container (pliable, heavy duty, easy to operate), -no abundance of useless/poor quality stuff I would throw away anyway (I did not throw a single item out of this kit), -a small amount of room for add-ons.If I would change anything about this kit, it would be the size of the container. It would be great to have just a LITTLE bit more extra room for add additional stuff (minor wound care, some odds and ends). But not enough it changes my 5-star review. I didn’t log in here to post this, I logged in to buy a second one for my daughters car.

Bought this for myself because I could no longer stand the nagging anxiety that a medical emergency might happen and I would have the training and knowledge, but none of the tools to help! This has everything I wanted and needed to restore my peace of mind. Don’t settle for just band-aids and gauze in your first aid kit. If that is all you need, then the ouchie can probably wait until you get to Walgreens. If you want to be prepared for more than a boo-boo, with quality supplies and tools that will do the job, this is what you need (along with some good training). I was so happy with mine when I received it that I quickly bought another for my step-dad’d boat. He won’t know how to use half of the stuff in it, but maybe I can help with that, and at least I’ll feel better when I’m around. 🙂 This small business deserves your patronage not only for providing a high-quality product at a good price, but also because it is veteran-owned. Buy this already!

As an afghanistan veteran, (and also, someone who is into this kind of stuff), this has pretty much all the essentials I’m looking for. I’m with a medivac unit, and this kit is nearly identical to the ifaks we were issued, plus some. This is the best ifak on the internet, and at a really good price. You probably couldn’t self assemble this kit for less than the $75 it costs. The only thing missing is a decompression needle, but I think those aren’t included here for legal reasons. Also, seemingly the packing gauze in the kit is not hemostatic, as advertised, so they should change that. It isn’t a big deal for me, 1. because quick-clot is like 5 bucks, and 2. because the science would seem to show that statistically, plain gauze is just as good or better than hemostatics.I will add a little “boo-boo” kit, with some over-the counters like asprin and benadryll. I will also add a glowstck.

You NEVER know what can happen when traveling…and this should be in EVERY person’s vehicle-for life’s “What if something happens..” moments. This particular kit is lightweight and compact-and I had room to add some additional “tools to the toolbox”, for extra “peace of mind”.We have secured ours with Velcro to the rear floorboard on the “hump” between the seats in the second row of our SUV, with a LONG handle that comes up into the FRONT of the vehicle, so my Wife and I have access to “drag it upfront”, if needed. Because when something “unforeseen” happens…your Trauma Kit does you NO good if it is in the trunk or your car, or in the cargo hold of your SUV.By attaching a 6’ tether, that includes a RED handle to it, [Something that I purchased separately] we can ALWAYS find where to pull the “Drag Handle” from wherever it is within the SUV and get the LIFE SAVING equipment to us.Perhaps it is a byproduct of a “misspent youth”-having done Trauma Medicine for 20+ years…please, TRUST me when I tell you, you can NEVER be “over prepared”. Safe Travels!!

Preparing in advance of an emergency medical situation should be a priority for everybody, especially for parents or if you live with anyone that you care about. I’m such a believer in advanced emergency preparedness for my family that I even wrote a book on the subject. This is as high of a quality emergency medical kit as you can buy. The molle tactical bag is made with the best materials for extreme durability. The quality contents are well thought out for most medical emergencies and are easily and quickly accessible. Too bad I cant give it more than five stars. The only changes that I made was to buy a tourniquet pouch to attach to the outside of the bag to hold the tourniquet in order to free up a little interior space where I added a suture kit and a handful more of high adhesive various athletic Band-Aids. Thank you to the Everlit company for putting together such a great kit so that I can have a little peace of mind.
