Excellent bundle for a first time user. LOVED the free lesson with Jeff. My child had no clue about anything on the instrument and Jeff was able to get her headed in the right direction for first time use. Make sure you had a good internet and the lastest Skype update or otherwise skype on your phone or ipad. Had some troubles with the tuner, it did not seem to want to put the ukelele in the correct tones. Had to tune by ear.In all a good choice for a first time user.

Bondi is a great company to deal with if you’re looking to purchase a beginner’s starter bundle. It includes all the essentials and then some! This is my second ukulele, so I didn’t need everything that came with it, but the additional accessories are nice to have. I especially like the bag – the colors and design choices set them apart from many others selling plain black. It’s decently padded, so the ukulele is protected from minor bumps and scratches. As an added bonus, Bondi included a foldable ukulele stand for free in the bundle! Who can’t use one of those to have your uke on display when you’re not playing?As for the ukulele itself, it is well made and has a nice sound once the strings are stretched (staying in tune). The frets are not sharp on the side like some beginner ukuleles bought online tend to be, so it’s comfortable playing. If I’m being completely honest, the first ukulele I received from Bondi had an extremely dry fretboard and bridge (looked white and ashy). I could easily have bought and applied lemon oil (especially made for hydrating fretboards), but Bondi kindly replaced it. They truly stand by their product and are extremely responsive. When I wrote them about my concern, they immediately replied making it easy for me to get a replacement.If you’re thinking of buying your first ukulele or you’re looking for a beginner bundle with more value, get this starter kit! You won’t be disappointed. Bondi will make sure you’re happy and “every ukulele sold contributes to putting a school teacher [in Cambodia] through [Bondi’s] ukulele course thus allowing kids to have music as part of their education.” How can you not love their commitment to spreading music around the world to those less fortunate?

I searched forever for the best deal on a quality instrument for my son on his 14th birthday. He is an avid musician and has many instruments, but not a ukulele. This ukulele is SO gorgeous and the starter kit has been amazing! Marcus from Bondi even included a free stand for him! Marcus has been so kind and helpful and my son has already played in front of hundreds of people with this new instrument. I am also a musician who plays Taylor guitars exclusively, and this is a quality package. It’s a mid-range priced instrument for a high-end quality and sound. This is the most complete set on the market. The quality is phenomenal, it comes with everything you could possibly need to start right away. The books, tuner, capo,stand, -I can’t even begin to extoll the virtues of this instrument.The seller takes a lot of pride with his instruments, and included a personalized note..(and an extra part!)All in all. one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time.Would have cost double at least, to buy anything similar.My granddaughter tuned, and played a few chords the first day.

I’m the type that goes above and beyond researching most items before purchase. After reading many reviews and shopping at 3 stores around town, I couldn’t pass up this full deal package. Not only do you get a quality Ukulele, you have everything needed to get started. Plus; the personalized service you receive after the purchase is superior to any I have ever experienced. I feel like I have an adopted Ukulele family, who wish to share their love of music. We flew to Florida with my new Ukulele strapped onto my back pack that fit perfectly under the plane seat. Some day this St. Louis, MO girl hopes to play her Ukulele on BONDI beach in Australia and pay a visit to the factory.

This starter kit is much nicer than I expected. The picture of the case does not do justice to what I saw when we opened the box. Being newer Ukulele player I can’t necessarily speak to the quality of the instrument itself. However, I feel it is better quality than I have found in local music shops. I have purchased other stringed instrument starter packs; however found many parts and accessories were cheap. This kit was far from those past experiences. In addition to the case and the Ukulele, additional strings, felt picks, a solid strap (which is better than one I have on my Banjo), and everything else feels solid. I would definitely buy this again and would buy it for family if they wanted a gift to start playing with.The kit also came faster than I expected. I look forward to the lessons!

i was so excited to buy a ukelele and was close to buying one when i found Bondi Ukuleles and this package is amazing! all the products came as described.The ukulele has a nice matte finish that i prefer over the glossy because it looks more luxe and natural. it plays well too. the case is well made and looks more beautiful in person and everything else is well packaged and fit perfectly inside the box.im excited to schedule my online classes to learn how to legitimately play this beauty! and also, a huge thanks to Marcus for doing such a great job with my order and for everything in the box! i greatly appreciate the awesome customer service and it’s just the beginning!i would definitely recommend this over anything else ❤️

This kit and its contents are such a great value – you receive everything promised and are able to get started right away. I think the other reviews cover the quality of this amazing package quite sufficiently so I’m going to revert the attention of my review to the FREE SKYPE LESSON with JEFFREY THOMAS. This was by far the best part of this kit. With so many access points to how-tos online these days you might think you can teach yourself everything you need to know. Let me tell you – you can’t. Jeffrey took the time to carefully select a beginner song for me to get started with by analyzing my musical taste before the lesson. When I received the music before the lesson, I was already thrilled! Scheduling the lesson could not have been easier, connecting was great, and it was just like we were sitting across from each other in the same room. He went out of his way to schedule the lesson at a good time for my time zone and was very accommodating! Don’t be intimidated by the idea of a lesson – Jeffrey is very nice and personable and gives you very productive feedback on the spot and keeps you going at a positive and comfortable pace. I knew I needed lessons, but I didn’t know I WANTED lessons until after this free session. I hope I can work the time into my schedule to set up more lessons with him. If you have this kit, or are thinking about buying it – do it…but if you’re not using at least the first free lesson you’re already on the wrong path. Thank you Bondi and Jeffrey!

I cant believe I haven’t wrote a review before now. This is a GREAT instrument!!! It was my first uke. I’ve since progressed to another more intermediate uke that was given to be as a gift, but still come back to my Bondi regularly. It had a great sound and stays in tune without fail. And, this company has amazing customer service! I had a FB messenger conversation with one of the folks from Bondi while they were at the airport o resolve an issue. It felt like they genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase. And, boy, did they deliver!!! If you were on the fence about this uke, JUST GET IT!!! You wont be disappointed!!!
