This axe was killer. I bought for our family camping trip and it chopped and split the fire very nicely. The hand saw works well too and very sharp. Didn’t get to use the flint. Great product for the price. It comes with an edge on the axe blade. I hit a stone or 2 when chopping and it still did the job. I was able to smooth the nicks quickly with my sharpening stone. The weight is well balanced; not too lite or too heavy.

Took this on a week-long backpacking trip in a densely forested area. This was an absolutely invaluable item. Both the axe and saw are super sharp and held their edge. We used both every day to cut knee-high piles of fallen branches with zero problems. An excellent product at an excellent price. Also, we really liked the belt loop on the axe cover. So handy! My boyfriend likes this axe so much that I’ll probably buy a second one before our next trip so that we can each have one.

Very reasonably priced hatchet for small chopping jobs (making firewood). I even used the fire starter a few times. The cutting saw is a bit of a throwaway but still nice to have. Good product.

I didn’t expect anything amazing out of a product this inexpensive, but it has outperformed all expectations. The axe holds an edge, the saw cuts small limbs smoothly, and the firestarter started fires (I wasn’t in California, don’t look at me that way). Bought it for a camping kit for local camps with cub scouts so it hasn,t been torture tested, but it has held up well for several hours of use.
