It’s reassuring to know that if I have to drink mosquito larva-infested water from an elephant’s footprint, I might live long enough to die from malaria or exposure instead of from drinking contaminated water!

All ground water has some level of contamination These tablets make water potable in an emergency situation. These little bottles fit in the outer pocket of a USGI canteen and will treat a good amount of water. They are very good for a survival kit too. Better to be prepared.

I always have these in my hiking gear so I can have clean water whever I go. It doesn’t have the greatest cleanest flavor but I trust that it’s killing the bad germs.

Dropped the tablets into some cool creek water that happened to be the home some frogs and drank with no ill effects. Yes, you can definitely taste the iodine, but it’s way easier to drop a few tabs into a canteen than deal with the slender Sawyer or Life Straw that takes a lot longer to process the same amount of water. So, you can wait and deal with the straw filters, or drop a few tabs, shake, wait a minute and drink up.Personal preference.

Not yet tested, but I trust the reviews.Recommend adding VITAMIN C tablets to the water as well. VITAMIN C gets rid of the bad taste ( from what I have read ).

Sent to some friends in Puerto Rico following the hurricane so that they have safe drinking water. I wish they didn’t need it, but they do and this is effective so that they can have water to drink.

I have literally been using this product for a good 40+ years and never had an issue. First used them in Boy Scouts back in the day and since then have carried them for fishing, hunting and especially extended backpacking trips. I have never gotten sick because of tainted water while using this product. They are easy to use and take up almost no space in your pack. I carry a First Need, but it is nice to have a backup and the tabs are totally passive; Just fill your canteen, drop in a tab and go. Also great for a โgo bagโ or in case of emergency and municipal water is not available. I always keep a spare bottle for both.

Super easy to use these. Take up little space and weigh very little so great add to my pack. 2 tabs treat 1 quart, so 25 drinkable quarts from 1 little bottle. Lasts forever and gives me piece of mind that I also have the ability to have water when I need it. I recommend using a single serving pack of lemonade or tea, etc. when using this product for drinking, as the bleachy chemical taste can be overwhelming.

product is small & very lightweight. Cleans water when hiking & regular water sources unavailable. Keep you from getting sick using lake or stream water. A Creek Stewart survival great item to have !!!

I’ve used these before and know for a fact it’s a military-trusted item. The flavor is there. It’s very subtle, but you can still get the hint of it. At least for me, I’m sure some people are a little more or less sensitive to it. Fortunately I never got the stomach rumbles from it, so I didn’t mind the taste. Better than giardia or something though
