Bought this for my 6 year old son as a birthday present. He was extremely happy with it.I did “play” with it a bit and can say the following:Pro’s: The built in battery works very good and holds a charge. Feedback from the pads and drum stick interaction is good, but using a finger is nearly as satisfying. Speaker is loud enough to enjoy but not so loud as to fill the house (big thumbs up!!)Cons: While the sound is overall very good, the high and low end have some minor distortion. It’s not a deal breaker and doesn’t effect the overall value, but feel it’s worth mentioning.For the price this is an extremely good electronic drum kit that my kids (and I) have thoroughly enjoyed using. I highly recommend it.

My 3 year old grandson was always pounding on hard surfaces with wooden spoons. He actually had a beat going! I researched electronic drum sets and this one caught my eye. Great sound, great quality, and I LOVE that it has a volume button! It also has several different beat buttons, along with just a plain drum sound. One of the drumsticks snapped in half, but it was no fault of the drum sticks. While I was taking everything else out of the box, he was pounding on the edge of his wooden toy box very hard with one of the drumsticks. I ended up ordering a set of Pocket Stix from Amazon and all is right with the world again 😉 He uses them like he supposed to and he is loving every second of his drums! I highly recommend these drums for anyone!

Son is in love, I am in love because it is rechargeable (no constant replacement of batteries), takes up minimal space (literally just able to roll it up and store), and my personal favorite…headphone jack. We had drum sets in the past, the noise got annoying quickly. With this my son can plug in his headphones and listen to what he is playing without the whole house being forced to listen to it.Recommend!

I purchased this for my almost 12 year old son to try to get him away from FortNite but it hasn’t worked yet. We did take it out of the box and had our cat play it and that made him laugh. I’mAlways trying things to get my son away from the video games!! I’m still glad I purchased this drum kit though. The sound quality is great and I myself had fun playing on it. You feel like you got more than you paid for with this item- which is hard to come by these days. I know it will come in handy on one of those random days in the future when we least expect it.All in all I think this would be a GREAT gift for someone wanting to learn how to drum. My kid was like that once and we got him an actual drum kit……. this would’ve been a better bye/ and much more peaceful!

This is a great little space-saving instrument for the person who wants a drum set, but there’s no way they’re getting one. It’s fun to play, and has lots of great features. The volume goes really loud for when no one else is home, but also really soft (or you can use wired headphones) for when you need to be quieter. They seem to have thought of everything you might need. There’s a good video review here that goes over all the details. My video shows us playing the drums. Definitely a fun toy for a kid, or a good instrument for someone older who wants to make their own music.

I was surprised at the quality of sound that comes out of this drum set. It has 2 petals that attach by wire in addition to the 7 surface drums. The included drum sticks are good quality, and the rechargeable battery makes this a good instrument to take out and use without the need to be plugged in. It is pretty loud at full volume, but can be turned down. I was skeptical before buying about the sound quality, but I was definately not disappointed. It does not take up much space at all, and can be moved from place to place easily. My son spilled a drink on the surface of it, and I literally wiped it off with no issues. The rubberized foam like surface repels liquids. I believe it has 2 speakers built in for stereo sound, and the bass tones really sound good. This was a great alternative for my son as opposed to getting him an actual drum set that would take up way too much space in his room, and cant be easily moved.Overall I was pleased with this drum set.

This drum set has become the most fun thing ever for my whole family. It’s so easy to use and it sounds like real live drums. There are different types of drum kits which is awesome. I have a 1 year old, who loves the set!!! And a 5 and 10 year old. Even my husband and I want “our turn” on the drums Hahahaha! They even come with pedals you can connect. Any drum stick or even your fingers, or if you’re a baby, your baby foot lol, works and creates an excellent quality sound. You can plug in head phones or turn down the volume. Such an easy instrument to play. The demo beats are really catchy too. There’s even a click, which helps you learn to stay on beat. My family and I just love this drum set. I ordered more drum stick sets too!!! The wooden ones they come with are ok. If you’re looking for something easy to play and entertaining, this is your chance.

UPDATE: The seller responded promptly and sent me a replacement drum pad. The new one works great, and he is very happy; so I am happy! He uses it all the time just to bang around, take a study break and relieve stress. My only wish is that it came with a tutorial so he could really learn to play. I’ve changed my review from three stars to five stars because the seller responded promptly and stood behind their product.I purchased the RockPals Electronic Drum Set for my son for Christmas. He didn’t play it much, but really liked it. However, it is now January 14, so we’ve had it less than a month, and when he went to play on it today, there was a loud distortion/feedback noise. He tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but the same thing happened. We’re thinking we have a defective one. I’ve emailed the seller to see if we can return this one and get a replacement. Will update when I hear from the seller.

Really great little drum set. It is definitely table-top size. I would venture to say it would just barely comfortably fit on a student’s desk without falling off th me sides, but just barely. The settings on it are fantastic, giving all kinds of different drum sounds to play around with. My five-year-old son has been interested in drums, but I have another baby coming, and drums are LOUD. Not so with these! Because the makers thought of that and installed a volume control that goes from loud enough to hear across the house to quiet enough to play in the same room as other people without annoying them. When my son wants to play me a concert, he cranks up the volume, turns on one of the many demos, and goes wild beating the drums. A metronome is also built into the set, so as he ages and starts to show more interest in the technical aspects of music, the metronome will be an asset. As a music major and teacher myself, I am very pleased with this set. It covers the basics without breaking the bank or my eardrums. My only complaint is that it does not plug into the wall without an adaptor. I use the end of my iPhone charger to plug in the drums, but it’s kind of a pain to switch between a charger and a drum set. Otherwise the product itself is well worth purchasing, especially for kids showing an interest in percussion.
