Hubby, Wife, and two kiddos likey likey.

We were a little apprehensive about buying such a big tent that hadn’t really been super tested. But, we went fot it. My wife and I pulled it out and took a look at the instructions (not super great) but used the color coding and past tent assembly experience and hammered it out in 25 minutes. It was pretty straight forward. I would not have enjoyed doing it solo but probably could have with difficulty (and no wind).IT WAS HUGE inside. we had a queen air mattress, a kid twin mattress and another one that was a toddler sized one and had tons of room to move around and store stuff. Lots of little pockets, air vents, and just the right about of windows. If I had to say something negative about this… I would have like to see more reinforced around the seems/zippers of the door that you open, close, open, close all the time. Not saying it was weak or that I experienced anything negative, just that it’s the area that receives proably the most use and with kids, who knows if they know how to really treat it nicely. We did not tie/stake down with rope this tent and it did great with some wind. I could see this being a nice refuge in bad weather.More later.

… of five (three young children) used this tent at Great Basin National Park

My family of five (three young children) used this tent at Great Basin National Park. The tent was great. Took my wife and I about 15 minutes to set it up. We only used one door, but the zippers on it seemed well made. No way I’d try to fit more than 8 total people in this thing. More than 8 would be ridiculous. There are some ties to hold the rain fly to the poles that were difficult to attach if you follow the included instructions. You really need to tie it to the poles BEFORE staking it down. I brought extra stakes so that there would be a little space between the fly and main tent too. I think that allowed more air circulation. We had thunderstorms one evening and one afternoon of our trip. Not a drop made it past the fly. It worked perfectly and it rained pretty hard. It didn’t get that windy, but I think the tent would hold up unless the wind was ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and buy a tarp to put on the ground under the tent. It isn’t absolutely necessary, but I like the extra “insurance.”

Loved it until a pole broke

I love this tent! Setup instruction is easy to follow, but may need about 2 persons to set up because it is big. I love the height and space inside, plus there are 2 doors. We stayed dry when it rained. It keeps the heat inside as well. However, by our third use, the red pole gave in and broke while we were camping. My resourceful husband used some wires and rope that he had at the time to put a temporary fix. It was a really good tent, except when this happened. Trying to re-order spare parts in the website, but it seems to be out of stock.

    Good but not great

Good tent. Well made sturdy seams. Quality zippers. My biggest complaint is the flexibility and extra fabric of the ends, near the doors. Our first trip with the tent we experienced 20-30mph gusts in the Utah desert. I thought the tent was going to shred itself. With all stays strung out, rain fly internal ties tied off, and staked tight, it still made so much noise we had to take the rain fly off, at 1:00 am in a windstorm. With the windows and mesh letting the wind pass through we finally got some sleep. The fiberglass poles flexibility allowed the tent to crush down on us while we slept. Other than the wind issue it’s a good tent.

Good tent for taller people but needs some updates

PROS: We bought this tent based on the size/height since my husband is 6’4″ and most tents make a camping weekend very uncomfortable for him. This tent was amazing for his size. He could stand in it no problem. It was easy to setup, we followed the instructions which we found on the inside of the bag. The colored poles were a great idea! I would have concerns setting it myself. I’m sure I could do it, it would just take longer. It stayed warm in the evening and did not have a drop of rain/leaks in it.CONS: the size of it will pose challenges for finding a flat spot big enough in a campsite/campground. You can’t use this tent without the fly on it because the window closures are on the fly only. Without the fly, everyone can see into your tent. This also means you have to go outside the tent to close/open windows. I am not sure what the thought process was when creating this feature? It’s a pain! We had a day of rain on our first use with it. When we wanted to check out the weather, we had to go outside instead of just being able to unzip a window. This was annoying for our child and for being able to communicate with the people we were camping with when we were stuck in the tent. There were no poles to attach to the canopy either. I’m not sure if these were suppose to be included or not.CONCLUSION: We only camp a few times a summer, so my husbands comfort is more important than anything. However, if we were serious campers/planning on using this more often, I would be returning it and looking for one with the window features.

    Best Tent for the Money

Easy to setup. The only hard part was putting on the rain fly. I set it up just to see how it went together before my camping trip. The instructions where simple and easy to follow. My 4yo Daughter and I had it set up in less than 20min. It was in the mid 60’s when it was up but the tent kept the heat in extremely well. I like how it has a full rain fly. The only issue I have with this design is the windows must be opened and closed from the outside because of the mosquito mesh. This tent has to be one of the best built tents for the money I have ever seen.UPDATE: I just used this tent for a 5 day hunting trip in northern Michigan. It rained all 5 days and this tent held up. No leaks and everything stayed dry. At night the temps got down to the low 50’s and we had a small propane heater inside. It held the heat in very well and got so it was almost uncomfortable. I did used a 10 x 20 7mil tarp for a footprint to help with the rain and keep the floor from punctures. Would recommend this tent to anyone who needs a big 3 season tent.

Sturdy, secure, takes a while to set up, but worth it!

We’ve had this tent for two summers and put it through it’s paces. Extremely high winds that broke other tents, we barely felt them. Rain and snow, we stayed warm and dry. It never leaked. We always felt secure in this tent. It’s tall enough in the center that I at 5’9″ can walk around fine without stooping, and my husband at 6’1″ brushes his head when he stands up completely straight. It’s very roomy and comfortable for us and our two kids and all our gear. We can even cook in the tent when it’s raining or blowing outside! It does take a long time to set up. We plan at least 45 minutes with the two of us. It’s important to get the rain fly on and stake everything out well for the stability of the tent, but the time is totally worth it. After two years of hard use, it did get one tear on a seam on the doorway. I’m hoping we can fix it. I absolutely love this tent and can’t rave about it enough!

Great tent for a decent price

I love this tent! My husband and I got really sick of spending $100 to $200 on tents that would only last us a season or two at the most and none ever kept us 100% dry. We decided to spend a little extra this time and went with the NTK Arizona GT. We went on a trip with four adults and six teen girls. The girls slept in this tent and the adults had another. The girls said that with all of their stuff plus them they were a little cramped but not bad.The last night we were camping it poured on us, the adults were drenched in our tent but the tent the girls were in(the NTK) was 100% dry (just make sure you put the rain flap on correctly). You do need two people to put it up but it’s super easy! The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t close the windows from inside but I’m sure it’s for the rain protection. Which I am ok dealing with. I am hopeful this one will lasts us a few years, time will tell.

Fantastic tent I would highly recommend

Fantastic tent. I upgraded from the NTK 5-6person tent because of the quality of the product. The material is heavier than any of the bigger name brand tents here in the US and I just love the design. I’ve camped with it in cold, warm and windy weather and it performed great. When it’s warm, I left the screened in porch area open during the day so the tent doesn’t get too hot and just cover it with the rain fly if it gets chilly. The only thing I can’t figure out, and maybe somone can shoot me a comment, is that the porch section sags. I can’t figure out how to make it stand up straight and tall like in the pictures. I’ve staked down the tent as tight as it would go. Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.Yes, they come with the typical scrawny tent stakes but I use heavy duty ones I’ve bought separate instead.I can foresee it lasting for years. One big plus is that it WILL fit back into the bag with extra room to spare. Thank you NTK for making that happen.

She thoroughly enjoyed her time and can’t wait to go again

This tent is my first experience with such space. My wife who always said vacation without room service was roughing it. She thoroughly enjoyed her time and can’t wait to go again. We had 2 queen blowup mattresses and two twins with plenty of extra space. We had 5 adults in the tent.It was not difficult to figure out how to set it up. The supplier told me they were going to update the instructions available. The bag that the tent gets stored in was defective and I called the supplier and he immediately sent me a new bag plus a guy Rope because one was a little frayed and I wasn’t going to make an issue of it but since I called about the bag he sent me two extra guy ropes. The new bag I got has great instructions in it. I think he even said he was going to create a video, not sure. The supplier was very friendly and I would do business with them any day. I am typically a very difficult consumer.Extremely pleased!AdamJust got back from her second trip the tent was amazing. Looking forward to September when we can get away again

Incredible family tent. We’ve really put this tent to the test in various settings (seaside, mountains). We did beach camping with winds estimated in the 30s and it held up with some significant guy line work. It’s a tall tent so there’s pros (nice to stand) but susceptible to poles snapping and collapsing during high wind conditions. We used paracord as extra guylines and tied it to our van during high wind conditions. I’ve brought tent splints as backups in case we need them but luckily it has held up beautifully. We have tried it in temperatures between 30-70F So far so can’t speak too much to breath ability in the summer. The divider is at the 2/3 of the way through the tent so perfect for a pack n play or a couple people with sleep pads. The floor comes up which is awesome in really wet conditions. It’s a 2 person setup though that’s my recommendation. I’ve done it once by myself (took probably 25 minutes with no rain fly) but if the conditions are windy at all, forget it you’ll definitely want help. My wife and I just used it with our kids in the mountains this weekend and we set it up with a bottom tarp and rain fly in probably 40 minutes total.

I love this tent! Literally the nicest tent I have ever seen in person

I love this tent! It is literally the nicest tent I have ever seen in person. I recognized the quality workmanship right away. I bought this tent to replace the crappy new Coleman tent I bought and returned immediately. All of the seams on the rainfly are perfectly taped. I love how the rain fly goes on all the way to the ground, and the roll-up windows and vents on the rain fly are wonderful. This is the first tent I have seen that has 2 doors – how cool.It is definitely 100% waterproof. Took it to San Diego and it rained on us really hard on the 2nd night of our trip, and there was flooding at our campground. I added some pictures to illustrate the amount of rain we got. The inside of the tent was 100% dry, and we were all very comfortable. There was so much water on the ground that the floor of the tent felt like walking on a water bed, but not one leak inside the tent. I was amazed. Everyone that has seen the tent is impressed. The ventilation is superb, better than any tent I have used. It is easy to put together, and fits in the storage bag with no problem. It is huge! There was room for 3 big cots and a queen sized air bed, with some room to spare. I can walk upright from one end to the other with lots of room over my head (I am only 5’7″, though). One great thing about this tent is that you can put the rain fly on, then roll it back and tie it down; enjoy sleeping under the stars with the enormous screened windows, and if a rogue rain storm should happen to roll in in the middle of the night, no worries – just get out and unroll the rain fly. I can’t say enough great things about this tent. I love everything about it. I think if I ever need another tent, I will get another NTK.

Excellent, …. better than I expected.

Package was delivered on time and in perfect condition.I gambled that everything would be there and that it would be as easy to set up as others had said. I planned on picking it up and using it right away.I couldn’t have been more pleased. The colour coding on the tent and supports take the guess work out of setting the tent up.I am a seventy-one year old man who has not used a tent for many years and expected the worst.I could not believe how simple it was to put up, oh yes I forgot to mention I was on my own. It took me about forty-five minutes but there was a bit of a breeze that made putting the outer shell on a bit of a challenge.I got it up just as it started to drizzle, I spent my first night not quite knowing what to expect. The wind came up and there was as bad a thunder and lighting show as I have witnessed in some time. Along with the sound and light show I had to sit through a torrential down pour. With my past tenting experience I was expecting to be walking around in water.I am pleasantly surprised at how well this tent withstood everything, not a drop of water inside.I have to admit I was a bit Leary with the purchase, as I said earlier I am older and the tents we had back in the day were a lot heavier and not near as good.I would without hesitation recommend this tent to anyone that wants lots of room and excellent quality.I only spent a week in it but can’t think of any negative issues.

    Best tent ever invented

Camped every day for a month across over 7 campsites in a variety of conditions including 40mph winds, 33*F temperatures, high and low elevations, rain, blistering sun, and more. Camped in gravel, grass, moss, pine needles, tundra, and sand. Housed two adults and two children under the age of 10. INCREDIBLE TENT!!! Never leaked. The rain fly design was so versatile as to allow a multitude of different configurations depending on the weather and degree of privacy desired. Have used several tent brands before including Colman and this one has them all beat. The only advice that I would give is to buy real tent stakes. The metal ones that come with are perfectly fine for backyard camping, but for remote outdoorsy kind of adventures you’d be better off with some thicker, longer, more solid stakes. When I was considering buying the tent on Amazon, I was confused about how the rain fly worked. It ties onto the tent poles at various positions and has a double door design that free-floats on top of the inner tent piece. The fly doors also roll up if desired which is super nice. The inner room divider divides the inside into two, unevenly sized partitions which was also nice so that we could put the kids and their stuff in one end and the adults in the other end. Absolutely no fantasy of real privacy but sometimes just having a wall between you and another human being is enough. Also, when it got down to 33*F, we all moved into the smaller partition side to conserve warmth. Worked great. All that tenting (30ish days!) and the tent shows no sign of wear. Incredible tent people.

Easy one person assembly, sturdy, well designed tent!

I absolutely love this tent. I’ve used it several times now. We’ve dealt with rain and heavy winds and it held up fine. One time it was so windy the tent was bent down almost half way by the wind until I managed to get the fly ontop. Once on I tied it in two spots to both tires on my car (which acted as a slight windbreak for the front- we were on sand,on a sloped hill without trees or shrubs) it stabilized and was fine all night long. The wind did not let up and the tent stayed standing up! I was amazed considering how tall it is.Many reviewers say it is a two person assemble- IT IS NOT – I am a female and 5’6 and I can put it up by myself in 15 minutes. The door arrangement is very convenient, the separator is nice, the interior space is awesome! With two queen sized air beds we still had plenty of room to move around and put all our gear without anything touching the walls. Even still room for my kid to have a play space.I am sooo happy I purchased this tent. I’m a backpacker typically, this is my first car camping tent.

    Great Tent! Spacious and Watertight!

Great tent! Took it out for the first time this weekend and the tent is amazing. The set up was straight forward, and fairly easy. The color coded poles are great, and make set up that much easier. Inside the tent is spacious. with high ceilings. We were able to set up both a queen and twin air mattress with plenty of extra space for gear storage. The two doors on opposite ends of the tent make access easy. The interior has lots of pockets for small items, as well as a zipper to allow a power cord to access the interior of the tent. The rainfly is amazing, and stands up to wind and water. We had rain our first night, and not a drop penetrated the interior of the tent. It was also 40 degrees outside, and with the rainfly on, the interior of the tent felt comfortable. The fact that the windows only open from the outside really doesn’t matter much when you know whether or not you will need them open by the time you head to bed. We can’t wait for many more trips using this amazing tent!

    Forget the rest.

Incredible piece of workmanship at this price. I did not find one loose thread, any unfinished or incomplete stitching, or misshapen hardware. Every other tent I have had seem to have been thrown together by a machine alone, but this tent seems an like a completely handcrafted object which would be unheard of anymore. There is a good amount of sway in gusty winds, but it almost appears to have been designed that way because the footprint stayed right where it was in 25 mph winds, and I never even used any guy roping. The tent poles are spindly and tricky to get up in place if your on your own. But with a partner it must be a breeze. Almost too easy.It does not use little “pockets” for the pole placement, but has small stemmed eyelets attached to rings that hold the poles to the base at the connection points on tent bottom. Very clever and surprisingly effective to hold the poles in place.A heads up on the user instructions: they are sewn into the carrying case. I overlooked that detail, even though it is a large letter sized insert, mainly because I’m pictograph challenged and rely on more than written instructions. Also the English instructions compete with other languages for space on it, and with fewer words it was camouflaged to me.Another thing. Under the mistaken belief there were no instructions included, I immediately emailed support at […] , the manufacturer, and got an almost instant reply and with the help I needed. Unreal!Great, great buy.

    Wonderful Tent- 3 Years Later

Update-3 years later: I still love my tent! Several camping trips later and this bad boy never gives us any trouble. It costs more than your average tent but it’s more than worth it.Original Review: I did weeks of research before deciding to purchase this tent. There were so many Coleman options that I wanted to go with because they offered the same size at a much more affordable price, but there were several reviews about water leaking. Not just on one model either. I decided cost would not be the first factor but instead quality. I was determined to make this an enjoyable camping trip, rain or shine. I read reviews, looked at different camping websites, watched videos, and overall this tent was in the top 10 for “best camping tents when it rains”. This tent did not disappoint! It rained off and on the entire weekend and not one drop of water entered the tent. It took us about 15-20 minutes to put it up (that includes tying it down with rope). We had a queen air mattress and 2 twin mattresses (family of 4) and there was still room for one more twin air mattress. I know it says 9-10 person but it was just right for us. I highly recommend this tent.

… ago and have camped around 4 times AND IT’S AMAZING. 2 of the times it has DOWN POURED …

Purchased this tent almost a year ago and have camped around 4 times AND IT’S AMAZING. 2 of the times it has DOWN POURED and we didn’t get wet at all. The cover on the outside is amazing. It also held up against strong winds as well! This tent has amazing features like a door mat and a net on the top of the tent on the inside where you can put a light. We fit a queen size bed, a table, 52 inch TV and 2 no gravity chairs in this with no problem. It only takes maybe 30 minutes with putting this tent together and this is mostly putting the top cover on securely could be set up in less!the guy pulleys could be already attached on the tent which would save a lot of time, but that is a personal preference of ours. (cause our gazebo has it like that which saves us a bunch of time.) But, other than that there is nothing my fiancé and I don’t love about this tent. In the past year there has been no rips, or tears in the lining or on the bottom- even with our chairs rubbing against it. My fiancé spent HOURS – not kidding – doing research on the best tents and this is the one that we choose- WHICH WAS THE RIGHT ONE! love this tent I highly recommend it to anyone!

    Definitely water proof.

I received the tent and set it up in the back yard immediately. It was a little more complicated than I had hoped, but between myself, an 8 and 5 year old we got it up in about 20 minutes on the first go around. I put the rain fly on just to see how it looked and covered the tent, and it was a good thing I did. About 10 minutes after getting it set up, a storm with very heavy rain came in. I hadn’t planned on testing how waterproof it was, but I guess I’m glad we did before camping in it. After the rain stopped an hour later, I went out to check the inside. I found it dry as a bone. Not a drop of water or moisture inside anywhere. The rain fly definitely covers the tent and is going to keep you dry. The issue is, when the fly is on, the tent has somewhat limited ventilation. It gets pretty hot quickly, however, the fly can be rolled back on the smaller side of the tent which has an all mesh roof. So when there is no rain in sight you can roll the fly partially off for ventilation or looking at the stars. So far I like the tent, but we haven’t camped yet. I guess if I feel strongly one way or the other after that, I’ll add to the post.

    Best tent I ever owned

Best tent I ever owned. Great in wind and rain – tub floor and full rain fly does the trick. and it’s huge – I do archeology and can spend a good bit of time in a tent. I like a tent big enough that if it rains I have room to set up a table and chair and spend the time in comfort. This does it. Easy to set up (it is an 18 ft tent so handling that much fabric in the wind can be a challenge. I’ve never had help, but I bet it makes it alot easier) Two down sides: after six attempt, I’ve only been able to return the tent to it’s bag once. I gave up and bought a bigger bag, And the windows can only be closed from the outside. I love sitting inside on a buggy but beautiful day. There is a “veranda” area, like a screened in porch. The tent is made in Brazil and I’ve had no reason to call customer service so I can’t comment on that. But it is the best tent I’ve ever owned

This thing is gigantic. I do think it is over priced, its not “all that”. The zippers, as many reviewers stated, are weak, I anticipate those failing. My sleeping bag has a better zipper! The windows only have an outdoor zipping option and that is so inconvinient, especially if it starts to rain at night. We got some dew through the floor which was weird, we had 2 tarps under the tent so I’m not sure what happened there. As other reviewers mentioned the instructions are horrible and lacking, leaves you guessing, but we managed, its not overly complicated. After the first install you’ll easily remember what to do. The stakes were incredibly cheap, I recommend buying better ones, again not what I expect at this price point, those stakes are the same that comes with one of those cheap walmart/home depot tents. All in all, I like the tent, glad its huge and it suited our needs. If they’d upgrade a few things then they’d earn the its “awesome” product review but as is, its a pretty good tent for a lot of money. We didnt get rain when we used it so I can’t vouch for its weather proofness -which was my motivation for purchasing this tent.

    Big Agnes who???

Best tent I’ve ever owned. This tent will keep you dry in hurricane or monsoon. I’ve had it over a year now and can give a true assessment. I camped over Labor Day and for 24 hours it rained non-stop. Everyone with their Coleman’s and easy zip inside windows were soaked. We didn’t get a drop water in our tent.Everyone I camped with wanted to know where I got this amazing tent that laughs at the rain gods. I sent them a link to Amazon’s list of all the NTK tents. I will only buy NTK tents from now on. They are way cheaper than the high-end Agnes tents, and I imagine just as good. The only possible drawback is the size. It is HUGE. It is not always easy to find a suitable place to pitch it. It is too big for most tent platforms. It is also pretty big and heavy when packed in the bag. But I doubt anyone is going to mistake this for a backpacking tent. This is family car camping at its finest. If the size puts you off, I would look at the other NTK tents. They seem to have a size for everyone, and the prices are very reasonable.

Pros and Con(s) Also comparing it to the NTK Indy

Pros:Very spaciousGood quality materialGood ventilationGood designIt has a removable divider so you can have privacy if you have others camping with you.Cons:Has a canopy on one end but did not come with poles to hold it up. Pretty silly if you ask me.We have not camped in the rain yet so I cannot attest for it being %100 waterproof, but it looks like it will hold up well! The floor of the tent is a sturdy tarp and comes up on the walls a good 4 inches.Compared to the NTK Indy GT:I loved the vestibule area the indy offered. I love to be able to sit and watch the rain outside while being sheltered. The indy definately delivered in that area, whereas this Arizona just has the canopy with no poles. The Indy has only one window where the door was thus creating virtually no ventilation. This Arizona has PLENTIFUL ventilation.I wish NTK had a tent that was a size between both of these tents. The Indy felt a bit cramped having a queen blow up mattress and all our gear. This Arizona is almost too big! I hope wherever we camp in the future there will be large areas for our tent!If there was an in between size, that had the vestibule of the Indy and the Ventilation of the Arizona, I would be a HAPPY CAMPER! Hehe.

Great easy to set up tent!

This tent was great! Very easy set up, I even set it up by myself when we got home to clean it out! Some reviews said the floor ripped in places, but we did not have that problem and were on some pretty rough ground (we did use a tarp under the tent). Our dog went in and out and walked around no problem with puncturing the floor. Our favorite part was the roll back rain cover. Have the open screen during the day and put the rain cover on fully at night. The room divider is nice too to separate the rest of the tent from the screened in portion. We just had a full size air mattress in there and a couple folding chairs, but could definitely fit another one in there plus room. We did not get rain so I can not review on waterproof, but that is why we got it because the full rain cover so hoping it works! It was nice you can stand up completely in the tent and walk around. A little on the heavy side, but if you aren’t hiking out too far its not too bad. We had about a 25 yard walk to our campsite. Pictures with the rain cover on.

    Preliminary Review – Awesome Tent

This is a preliminary review. I received the tent yesterday and just set it up.If you have set up a dome tent before, this tent poses no new challenges other than the height. I am 5’11” and I had no trouble, even with the rain fly.All together, set up took me about an hour. I was taking my time, however, checking seams, etc. I could probably do it in under 20 minutes by myself and less with a partner. I reviewed the instructions, but the tent is pretty self-explanatory.Once up, I checked everything again. Seams were tight and evenly sewed. Zippers were smooth and sewed well. I found no abrasions, tears or holes. The tent stakes were the standard too small and too light stakes that come with all tents these days…I wasn’t expecting anything different. Overall, quality is very good. And then, of course, is the size. This thing is huge. I will be using this with my three adult children and grandson. As far as I can tell, there will be ample room for all of us and our gear. I am very impressed.I am taking this tent to Texas for a few days of camping this week. I will post a follow-up when I return.

    Spacious, well constructed tent

As soon as this arrived I wanted to take it out of the box and put it up. I had to wait for almost 2 weeks before I had someone to help me during favorable weather conditions. The directions are attached to the inside of the bag and include many languages and there are no pictures or diagrams. My first impressions of this tent is that it’s made with quality materials and well constructed. Even though I prefer aluminum poles, these fiberglass poles are thick and sturdy. The interior is spacious. The rain fly covers the entire tent almost to the ground so is really intended to be protective and keep you dry and cozy. There are handy pockets higher up on the walls unlike some that have the pockets at almost floor level. The tent stakes are like standard aluminum stakes only longer and “beefier”. Putting up this tent is almost impossible for 1 person to put up but may be doable for someone who is determined to do so.One tip I have for anyone on this tent would be to stake the tent down before you put the poles in.Now all I need is a reason to go camping as soon as possible to put it to the test.

    10/10!

Love this tent! It was super easy to set up..took us about 20min max mainly because we couldn’t find the directions lmao (they’re attached to the inside of the carry bag) usually we don’t even use the instructions but there were a lot of poles and some are curved so I wanted to make sure since it was supposed to rain that night. Once it was set up, since we had two people, we just grabbed each end of the rain fly and slid it on. Super easy but if you’re doing it alone then definitely put it on first. This thing did not leak AT ALL. It rained most of the second day and there was not one drop in there which is unheard of. We are going to seal the seems just incase since it is such a good tent but you definitely get what you pay for! It’s worth every penny! My only complaint is that it’s literally impossible to get back into the storage bag with everything. We shoved it in there but couldn’t zip it and we needed two people just to do that. Luckily it has to buckle straps or it wouldn’t even be in there at all. Nothing a bigger duffle bag can’t fix.

    I love this tent

I love this tent. Large, but doesn’t take up too much space as its narrow. We had some rain, stayed dry. We had warm nights, it cooled down, cold nights it held the heat in. Fabric feels tough, not your average feeling tent. Simple to set up. I set it up alone in no time. I used trekking poles to keep one rain fly window open, and bought two poles for the door flap and other window. They stayed open when it rained, Tent stayed dry.. I did put the door and window flaps on an angle.I camp where there are wild animals and like to see out at night, It was fine with out the xtra poles, however unless you want to get up in the middle of the night in the rain to close them, you need to close them ahead of time. The areas where you stake down the tent on the sides are on a elastic cord, which makes it nice to keep tent taunt but not pull on it. I spent 6 nights in this tent and absolutely love it. I also love the ” screen room” I can sit in there in the evening and read and use the other part as sleeping quarters. If you purchase this tent, I don’t think you would be disappointed.

    Great, big, well made tent!

Great tent!! Spacious and well thought out design elements from the storage pockets, gear hook, double doors, room separator, and the entrance floor mat! The rain cover is also well made, and goes all the way to the ground to ensure no water penetration, yet can be rolled back to provide excellent ventilation. All the stitching looked strong and reinforced where necessary including what looks like a sealant of some kind on seams. Poles are sturdy and color coded (this has helpful since no instructions came with ours, but it’s a tent, not a rocket!). I wouldn’t exactly call this a free-standing tent, because the screen room will fall inward without tying and staking it off. It took two of us about 15 minutes to assemble, and about 10 minutes to get it down and packed into the included pouch. I’m 5’8″ and could stand throughout without any problems. We slept two adults on a queen size air mattress and two large dogs with all our gear, a lantern hanging from the middle and even had room to use our camp box as a nightstand! Could you sleep 10 people in here…? Sure, so long as they are all in mummy bags shoulder to shoulder and hope that no one needs to get up in the night to relieve themselves! All in all… love this tent and plan to use it for years to come!!

How does this tent compare to (all) others on the internet?

I’m not a paid reviewer. We bought this tent to camp in on our family trip to Novia Scotia and north of Cape Breton last June 2019, but I’m writing this review in the mid-summer of 2020.I’m going to speak from my personal point of view. I didn’t know what to expect having bought and heavily used several other tents over the years in our family excursions. I will also add that we own an acre of wooded land with grass and pitch our tent late May and leave it up through the summer until the middle of September in the Columbus region of Ohio-storms and drought be damned.I am super-impressed with this tent. I spent several weeks reading reviews before our trip up north to Canada last summer and cannot emphasize the quality of this tent any more than what has already been said concerning the seams and rain fly – top notch all the way and lightweight. This tent works – that’s the bottom line. Two quick scenario write-ups for those of you reading this review because I know how important these reviews were for me before I shelled out the cash for my trip. First, we took this tent up to northern Canada and experienced 60+ mph winds for at least 12 hours straight during our first night caping on Cape Breton Island. It may not matter for most people, but we were camped right on the Eastern Ridge of the island on a northern peak. No cover. Had I been more experienced in that area I would have parked the minivan in front of the tent on the east side to block the wind but I didn’t. Let me say that we were all a little afraid in the middle of the night as the tent pitched and stretched throughout the storm. I’m an experienced outdoorsman, and I got up twice in the middle of the night to make sure the guy lines were secure because the tent poles were stressing so much due to the wind that I could feel the tent material brush my face as I slept on my cot and this tent is tall enough for a average-sized woman to stand up fully inside. Not many contoured tents have this versatility and strength but I digress. When we woke up the next morning, the entire campground was flooded and everything that we had laid outside the tent and the van were gone and this was on the top of a high plateau overlooking the coastline: a lot of rain fell. The bedding inside this huge tent was dry – DRY! One of the outer poles had been splintered from the strong winds, but everything stayed dry and from the outside it was barely visible that we had endured such a storm. With a little duct tape to fix the splinter, we slept comfortably for the following 12 days in the strong coastal winds on Cape Breton and northward into the Canadian wilderness.I haven’t mentioned that NTK sent us a replacement pole over a year later for free and the cool rep recommended that we pull the car up next time beside the tent to block the wind because the tent poles for that size tent weren’t rated for 60+ mph sustained winds over 12 hours – neither am I or my 6 and 11-years-olds in the wilderness in a tent in a foreign country. My wife is though, but that’s another review. NEVER before have I tested a tent in these conditions, not during my military service and certainly not with my family in tow.Second instance. Over a year later this spring, and a lot of wear in the sun and sleeping in the back yard a thunderstorm blew through central Ohio that spawned several tornadoes in the local area. This might seem like a set-up for a bad joke but let me explain. The storm rolled through strong in less than 30 minutes and tore off the top of a healthy mature maple tree next to my home and laid it up against the front of our two-story home with a little extending above the roof. I have over 70 trees in my back yard which swayed and shed many limbs. Some of them landed on the tent which I found later the next morning. The shattered pole that I fixed with duct tape last summer was still in-tact and the tent was COMPLETELY DRY! My neighbors, and even strangers who walk past our back lot have stopped to ask who made this tent and how it stood up. Not to mention how good it still looks after two summers of weather.Look, I’m not a paid reviewer and I spent weeks reviewing tents before I bought this one so I know how important these reviews are to people wanting to spend their money in the right way. NTK is a family-owned business and this product is the best that I’ve ever used for a family tent. Do not look any further and don’t hesitate to buy an NTK tent. These things rock. My only fear in writing this review is that they will see how good their tents are compared to others and jack-up their prices, which they haven’t done yet in a year, because I’m going to buy from them from now on. You can contact me via message if you’re on Amazon and I’ll confirm this review. Their customer service is second to none.Look at the other competitors from the national outdoor gear chains that you and I know about and then compare prices. I can attest that this family tent, the Arizona 9/10 family tent does more than you would expect from fabric material and supports. It has put-off our looking for a pop-up camper as a family and my wife and I have been camping for years before our 18-year marriage. You won’t be disappointed. This is really the bomb. That’s my review.

    Great features for the price

I purchased the Arizona 9 to 10 person tent to replace a Wenzel Columbia 4 person tent that tore after about 5 years of occasional use. There are great reviews of this tent and photos so I will skip a lot of details and get to the heart of if I would recommend to friends and family.* This is a heavy tent. I have low back arthritis so my back is sensitive to weight. This tent feels much heavier than 26 pounds. I later purchased an REI Kingdom 8 which is also heavy but almost half the weight. Lifting the Arizona tent is very heavy. My adult family became quickly frustrated trying to help set up the tent. There were no detailed instructions and the tent setup was not intuitive. Add the weight and the wind causing the tent to lift and fly like a kite added to the low back pain. If friends and family are willing to help set up the tent in windy cold weather, then yes, I recommend this tent for friends and family.* It is possible for one person to set up this tent but lay the rainfly on top and secure it before raising the tent or have a tall ladder because getting the rainfly on top once the tent is erected is a struggle. I had to remove a pole and partially collapse the tent to get the rainfly on top. I highly recommend setting up the tent first before taking it into the field for camping. The X crossing poles in the center tended to tip over. The pin rings helped keep the poles in place and I was thankful for those.* Waterproof was tested with a water hose and there were no leaks. I still recommend spraying a water repellent over the outside of the tent.* The bottom is like a bathtub. The plastic material is like a heavy tarp and crunches loudly when walking inside the tent. I recommend using a plastic outdoor carpet to muffle the sound. When turning over in a sleeping bag on a quiet night it’s – loud crunching sound – or get some earplugs.* The interior space is enormous – the size of a New York apartment or small camper. I recommend buying a good quality water repellent tarp to go under the tent floor. Look at the height of the tent and length then buy tarp and poles that will provide shade for the tent. In my area of the country, limbs break from trees so it’s not safe to put a tent under a tree. My area also has high summer temperatures so a tarp over the top of the tent will provide extra shade.* Buy a bigger carry bag for the tent. I was unable to get the entire tent into the bag because the plastic tub does not roll or fold well.* Other reviews will give more details and photos. No instructions clearly explained how to set up the tent so print out the photos younsee on the product description page.* Because of its weight, I would not buy this tent as a personal tent for me but it’s a great tent for people who can manage the weight. For the price, it’s a great buy for the features and space you get. It’s a great value but set it up in advance of your trip. The Amazon page has photos of how the set up looks but when the box arrived the my home, there were only photos on the box that described its features but not how to set up the tent. I included a photo of a very important setup feature – use the ribbon to tie the two cross X poles together before you raise the tent. This 9-10 person tent is very tall and once you raise the tent you can’t reach the top to tie the poles together. Even with a ladder we had to partially collapse the tent. There are no step by step instructions and the setup is not intuitive. I have owned several tents and this tent is not intuitive, but once you set it up it makes sense. But extra tie out cord and stakes for the type of soil or you will be upon. When at the beach I use snow stakes. Stakes down well – this tent did not fly away in a sudden wind and rain. Do not throw away the ribbons or anything in the box until you are positive the tent is set up properly. If you found this review helpful please select the helpful button.

Extremely spacious tent that keeps you dry!

My Fiancé and I bought this tent for a trip up to Acadia this summer. We wanted a larger tent because the weather up there can change on a moments notice and what was forecasted for a sunny day can change in a matter of ours to rain all day. So we wanted a large tent just in case we were stuck at camp for the day plus we felt that the extra room definitely couldn’t hurt. When we got the tent we tested it in the yard. It wasn’t difficult at all for the two of us to set it up and we left it up for about a day and a half during a forecasted rain event. It rained about an inch overnight and the next morning the inside of the tent was bone dry which was fantastic! We took the tent up on vacation to Acadia and had it up for 6 nights. It rained briefly about every other day but nothing heavy. It kept us completely dry and the extra space was definitely nice! We set up table and chairs inside to play games and still had plenty of room to spare. The clear built in pocket was amazing for a tablet to play movies at night and there was an abundance of loops to hook up string lights inside the tent.Overall this is a solid tent. Its a little heavy and takes a bit of practice folding it back to fit in the bag. The only con I can think of is that it does get warm with all the windows closed. Solid purchase!

    Outstanding 5 star Tent!

First, this is a well designed and constructed spacious tent. We purchased a NTK Laredo GT tent two years ago after much research and we were thoroughly pleased with our experience with the Laredo (I posted a 5 star review for the Laredo on Amazon on Sept 22, 2016 under SAJ).We wanted a large tent with two doors and windows with good ventilation. We knew that NTK was a quality brand so we did not hesitate to purchase the Super Arizona and we’re happy with the result. We set up the Arizona a mere 30 feet from our home on our ideal location which happened to be hard packed gravel. Why this location you ask? You would have to know our neighbor! To protect the bottom on the tent I laid down 6 and a quarter sheets of 1/2″ plywood (actually 19/32″ exterior plywood purchased from Lowe’s). One sheet had to be cut lengthwise and a quarter sheet from the seventh sheet to complete the 10′ x 20′ footprint. A tarp then went on top before assembling the tent. Pitching the tent was pretty straightforward thanks to the color coding of the poles. A note on the poles. Several reviewers said that they broke poles while erecting them and others said that this tent is pitched easily with one person. Unless you are very experienced at this I would recommend getting help at least with raising the two red crossmember poles. I had help raising them and even then felt sure at one point that the pole would surely snap. Thankfully it did not and the rest went smoothly until time to put on the rainfly. We tied two guy lines to one end and pulled it over quite easily. As you can see in the photos, we had an Intex queen size (22″ high) air bed, an Intex 6 foot long air couch(34″ high), and a card table with two chairs set up in the tent with room to spare! Due to the slope of the tent anything with any height will have a gap between it and the wall. The bed and couch had a gap of 12 to 18 inches depending on where you put them (end or side wall). This, of course provides room for clothes or other gear. We also had three 5’x 7′ area rugs for comfort and extra insulation and an extension cord (with GFI for safety) to power a laptop, a coffee maker, and a Lasko squirrel cage type fan. That fan really puts out a tremendous amount of air even on the lowest of three settings. As you can tell we were not roughing it by any means. Oh, we also had a 4×4 (13’x13′) DD tarp set up and our NTK Laredo set up as a dressing/ hygiene tent. There’s much more that I could write but suffice it to say that this is an excellent tent. We had no leaks at all even with several days of rain and wind. We would highly recommend this tent!Wish list:Include metal poles (similar to the door canopy poles) to elevate the windows for more than a 25% view.Make windows accessible from the inside.Make inside height at least 6′-5″ the entire length not just the very center where the poles cross.Make the door canopy wider than the door opening to prevent rain from entering the tent when the canopy is extended. Not complaining. Just wishing! 🙂The picture shows how the windows can be simply modified for a full view instead of the partial view as provided by NTK. Shown is something that I put together in just a few minutes using two tree branches about 66″ long used as vertical supports and one horizontal branch which is needed to redirect and support the tent guy line. For those who may be wondering, the picture of the tent with the tarp and Dutch oven tripod is showing the NTK Laredo Tent which we used in addition to the NTK Super Arizona..

WATERPROOF! Quality construction! Spacious! The only brand I’ll buy again.

This tent is TOTALLY worth the price! Bought it & took it straight to Yellowstone for a 5-day camping trip. (Meant to put it up before we left, but life.) It was an easy set-up! Took 4 of us less than 10 minutes from unpackaging to unrolling our sleeping bags inside! (We did not stake down the rainfly, which we definitely will do next time.) Very intuitive assembly. This tent very comfortably fit 3 teens + their gear, 2 adults + gear, a queen size inflatable mattress, with room for our shoes by the door, & to walk from front to back. I love being able to stand up to change my clothes in the tent! I love that the sides aren’t slanted in at you, reducing the headspace in the tent. It feels roomy & open, but you stay surprisingly warm & toasty!Features I appreciate:Quality fabricEasy & quick assemblyFantastic seams over the rugged-yet-smooth zippersWonderful super-fine mesh windows that keep out even the tiniest bugsSpacious bag with cinch straps (I don’t know why people had a hard time with that. We EASILY got everything back into the bag. The trick is to fold it up again based on the crease lines on the tent!)Sturdy polesAn amazing number of sewn-in tabs on the outside to tie down the tent/rainfly. I think it could withstand a hurricane!Nice room dividerMesh “platform” for your flashlight or lantern, so you’re not trying to awkwardly deal with your light source while changingDouble mesh pockets to hold your phone/glasses/tissues/inhaler/chapstick/etc so you’re not fumbling around in the darkSewn-in instruction sheetAmazing rainfly!!ABSOLUTELY WATERPROOF.So… we left for a day trip off to see some Yellowstone sites/sights. Not a cloud in the sky, & no cell service to check the weather forecast. I actually didn’t even think about it! Six hours later, we were 90 minutes away from camp & on our way “home” when it began to rain. No, it was pouring! We kept watching for Noah & his ark!! We were driving INTO the storm, which was coming from the direction of camp. And that’s when I remembered that I’d zipped up the tent door, but NOT the rainfly over the main door. Where our bed & clothes were. HORSE PUCKY. I was not excited to deal with a damp & crabby husband…I have no idea how long it had dumped on our tent, but when we got back to camp, it was still sprinkling, & little rivers had been flowing thru the campsite. With great apprehension I checked our tent… & miracle of miracles, IT WAS BONE DRY INSIDE!! The seams are so well constructed that they kept the rain out even thru the wind-blown deluge! My nephews’ Coleman tent did not fare as well… They had things up against the sides of the tent, & even with the rainfly, water soaked thru & left about a 1/2” of water in the bottom. Wet sleeping bags, wet pads, soggy everything. I felt a little bad for them, but I was thankful to be warm & dry in MY tent. And we stayed dry even as it rained all night long!Bottom line: NTK is the ONLY brand of tent we will ever buy again. You will NOT be disappointed. And if you have a problem, contact their customer service. They will make it right! TUDO BOM!!

this is a great tent and well worth the price

To get right to the point, this is a great tent and well worth the price. I’m glad I spent a bit extra on it. The reason I bought the Arizona GT vs other popular and cheaper brands was how rugged it looked and the rain protection it offered. I was absolutely not disappointed! On our first car camping trip we took it to the cascade mountains in the PNW for 4 days, 3 nights. It was my Wife and I, our two children (ages 3 and 1) and our small dog. On the 2nd day it rained moderate to heavy rain almost the entire day, non-stop. Our camping group was a total of about 6 other tents, we had the only Arizona GT while everyone else had familiar name brand tents. We were the only tent to be dry on the inside after a full day of rain. Every single other tent got water inside and had to air out when the weather got better.Inside our tent? Not a single drop! Not even the sides were wet. Exactly why I bought it!The space is very good, we fit a queen size air mattress in the smaller end which still left room around the edge of the bed to store stuff. The larger half of the tent we used as a place to get dressed and play while it was raining. We even had enough room to put up 3 camping chairs with extra room for kids to play and dog to be comfortable. My only gripe is I wish it had zip-up or closeable windows on the inside, not for rain, but for privacy for when the rain cover windows are open on the outside. As for setup, we couldn’t find the instructions (which I later learned are zipped to the inside of the carrying case), but we instead used the pictures on the box to figure it out. First setup took about 15 minutes with 2 of us (while trying to entertain our kids!) and the color matching poles with the sleeves on the tent were very helpful. Just make sure you stake the ends of the tent in, it’s the only way to get the tent to fully stand up and get full length. When it’s all setup with the rain cover it looks like a fortress. Very rugged, something I really wanted in a tent. I’m hoping to use it as our family tent for as many years as possible. I also liked how the rain cover staked to the ground and kept an air/buffer between the cover and the actual tent fabric. This means zero water touches the actual tent even in heavy rain. If you have your tent on top of a tarp, it allows you to fold the tarp under the rain cover which also keeps the top side of the tarp dry (prevents water from getting between the tarp and the tent floor).Lastly, for our 4 days of camping we only opened the rain cover windows on the sides of the big end when it wasn’t raining. There was plenty of air movement inside with the rain cover fully closed, because it doesn’t actually touch the tent, it leaves an air buffer (the rain cover is held off the tent fabric by a couple of inches, kind of like a having the tent suspended inside a bubble). If you are on the fence between the Arizona GT and other name brand tents, don’t hesitate any longer. You will not have buyers remorse with this tent!

it is easy to handle but a bit heavy

The tent I received is well designed and quality built. Packaged in its carrying case, it is easy to handle but a bit heavy. It’s great for car camping but not for hiking. It needs a large space 17’ x 8’ plus access at doors and room for the guy ropes.Set up is straight forward and not too difficult. My second time to set up the tent took about 20 minutes + 10 minutes for guy ropes clips, ties and ventilation. I set it up mostly by myself with help from my wife when two hands aren’t enough.I placed a 18’ x 12’ tarp down first as a ground cloth; folded the excess under so I could stake the tent without puncturing the cloth. I then rolled out the tent onto the cloth and set aside the rain fly. Extend the poles and match the pole color to a like colored sleeve. When the poles are in the sleeves, get the second pair of hand to insert the floor ring pins into the end of the pole, and then you push and bend the poles to insert the pin into the other end. The tent will begin to pop up.Next stake the floor and square and lightly tension the stakes. This will urge the tent further upright. The stakes supplied were adequate for 2 nights of 10 mph wind, but you might want to purchase larger stronger stakes.Next lay the rain fly on the ground along side of the tent; match the fly doors to the tent. Get your helping hands and then each grab a corner, one from the front and the other from the back. Walk from one side to the other while lifting the fly over the top of the tent. Flap the fly if it catches on the tent. Look at the inside of the fly, there are several ties to tie and clips to attach to the tent poles. Once they are attached, you can stake the fly and attached the guy ropes. Tighten the ropes and the tent is up.The tent is spacious. There were only two of us with a queen sized mattress. There is easily room for another queen mattress and perhaps some sleeping bags on the floor. We stayed warm on a 50 F night, and the ventilation was good during the 75 F afternoon with the rain fly fully on.Packing it back up was easy and folding it to fit and rolling it tightly along with the poles, it went into the carry bag without a problem. This is a little expensive but you get quality and a spacious tent for the price. I recommend this as a good buy.Updated 07/04/18: Spent Memorial Day weekend camping in this tent. I had waterproofed the rain-fly last year with Nikwax Concentrated Tent & Gear Solar Proof Waterproofing. It rained very hard one night for 4 to 6 hours. The next morning I did not find a single leak anywhere; floor , walls, windows or doors. Very happy that we can stay dry in heavy and windy rains.

Great tent and quality, but this is first impressions only

We’ve only had this tent for a few hours, but I’ve made a thorough walkthrough and video review to share with you.First of all, this is much bigger than I’m used to. We’ve slowly been expanding our family and the time came to upgrade from our 3 person MSR Hubba Hubba. Given that we’ve been relegated to car camping for a few years now, we decided to decided to hang up the backpacker credo and get something enormous.Setup: The instructions were in portuguese I think, with no pictures other than the ones on the box, so I just winged it and it took between 15-20 minutes to put up. I think this time would go down if I slid all the poles through before clipping and seating them. You’ve got to stake out the two ends to get it to extend to its full length and I think staking out the rest would take an extra few minutes but wasn’t necessary for today’s goals. Much faster to setup than I thought it would be and could be done with one person in just a little longer than with two. Its nice that the sleeves are color coated to match the poles, I like when the do that and I notice it.Inside: Its so big! There’s definitely room for 3 queens squished together although we’ve only got 1 queen along with two little PVC a-frames so our girls can be in their own cubbies. The sky chamber (our name for it because it’s so pretty) is separated from the other chamber of the tent by a standard divider with only a horizontal zipper along the middle. It doesn’t roll back but folds up well enough and you can take it down easily if you want the space. Speaking of the sky chamber, we all cuddled in for a family snuggle before the girls hit the sack and it was so cool to look at the 180 degree view from the safety of the meshed in chamber (I hate mosquitoes). As far as quality goes, all double seams, the tarp bottom goes up the side 3-4 inches and the rain fly reaches all the way to the ground. We wanted the extra rain protection for PNW early and late season rainy weekends and I think it will work perfectly for that. Not to mention a lot of the other more mainstream tents we came across seemed to fall far short on foul weather worthiness. From what I’ve heard this tent was designed for Amazon weather so our drizzles shouldn’t be a problem. Air flow is great with 1 chamber being almost all mesh and the other one having 3 big windows. If the windows are closed though, the vents might not be enough to push air move air through but we might be able to figure out a solution for that, it looks like the other windows can be staked out without rain seepage. It’s still early days but we’ve got 7 trips planned this summer so if it doesn’t hold up, I’ll find out soon.[…]

    COMFY, ROOMY AND WATERPROOF

We got this tent after weeks of research both online and with friends, the brand is not that famous but these guys know what they are doing, that is for sure. Our idea was to get the Arizona 9/10 but then this smaller one showed up and it was just the right size we need with all the perks of the bigger one. For starters this is a very big tent and it is still easy to put up, the color coded poles make it so easy, of course we had seen some of the online videos so that gave us a better idea. Our campsite was in South Florida and we go hit by rain most of the 2 nights, can’t lie, when it started pouring and blowing I began checking on booking.com for a hotel, I didn’t believe the tent would hold up, we are not experienced campers and thought tents just leaked…but for our surprise our NTK held up like a warrior and we all slept nice and dry all night long. We have to thank NTK people for making such a reliable tent and we do recommend to all other families out there looking for a tent. Also a big thank you to our friends that told us to get this tent.In the morning we could see how bad the rain was, over 10 families were packing and leaving, I guess most of them will buy an NTK tent soon! They were impressed that our Arizona was standing proud and tall.During the day we opened the windows and rolled the doors wide open and could have a nice power nap after lunch, nice breeze goes through the mosquito net (there are plenty) and none of the tropical insects came in.When leaving we had to put our tent down and that was another challenge for us, luckily the carry bag was bigger than needed, we rolled the tent right into it with no squeezing, pushing, kicking…just a quick zip and our tent was in the trunk and ready for the next family adventure! We are not used to write reviews but considering the importance of a tent, we think it is a way to help other families that are starting in the outdoor world like us. Will try to paste some photos later on.

    Survived 80 mph winds

I bought this tent last year after having to suffer through two years of getting soaked during storms at a rock festival while sleeping in a wall tent. My other tents I own all have full rainflys but unfortunately were too small to accommodate everyone, so we had to go with less weatherproof yet larger wall tents.Searching for a large tent with a full rainfly I stumbled upon the ARIZONA GT and decided to give it a shot. I have now used it three trips for a combined total of 10 days. The first trip, there was no bad weather. None the less I was impressed with the quality given the price and the ease of assembly. While not quick, I can actually put up the tent by myself, admittedly getting the rainfly on is a little tricky even with my 6 ft height. It’s also legitimately huge.On the 2nd trip, there were some storms with up to 30 mph gust. Tent worked great! No water made it in. The third time out really tested things. During this years rock festival, the event for which I bought the tent, there was a serious storm with weather reports of 80 mph straight-line winds. While I don’t know exactly how fast the winds were, it was hell a fast. During the storm I was sitting in my vehical and during large gusts I could see the tent get pushed over, and actually see the top of the rainfly. However after each gust it would pop back up and be just fine. I suspect if the winds were coming towards the shortPost storm the ARIZONA was the only one left standing in our group. Looking at nearby campsites, our tent honestly was probably one out of 10’s that was left. Additionally the tent was standing in about 5 inches of water. Inside the tent a little water seeped in from where the wall of tent got pushed down on our air mattresses, but that was it, and totally expected! Upon packing the tent up 2 days later, we did find a little damage. Two sections of fiberglass poles had split due to the wind, but that’s it, and the poles are easily replaced. I cannot recommend this tend enough.

Not good in medium and sustained winds.

UPDATE on 11-05-18.Contacted NTK and they sent out new poles and rain fly. Makes up for the breaking of the tent in sustained winds. Would be cautious in using in mild and consistent winds. Otherwise, an excellent tent 4 to 5 person tent with gear.Initially we loved NTK tents. So much in fact, I promoted to family members and friends. In 1 year, 6 others I know purchased NTK tents. Our first year camping, NO problems and held up in a couple flash rain storms in the mountain area of Colorado. This year, camping in Colorado had wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph wind off and on for a couple of hours. We even adjusted the 2 NTK tents we had to have the wind go through the open vent windows. This didn’t help, around 2 am both tents (mine and sister in laws tents with 4 and 6 year old kids, the tent poles snapped in both tents and punctured the rain flys.

    As Advertised

Easy to setup. Spacious enough for a queen size air mattress, 2 people and all applicable gear. Could easily fit 2 more cots in without being on top of each other. There are only 2 drawbacks that I can see:1. The roll up windows on the fly are opened from outside the tent, not the inside.2. Could have been engineered with mor tabs/loops to clip lights/lanterns to on the inside.

We had rain 1 day and tent held up great not a drop of rain inside

I just received and used this tent for a week long trip. We had rain 1 day and tent held up great not a drop of rain inside. I do have to say it is super easy to put up and take down, directions are sewn into the bag which I clipped out and put in a larger bag since I knew there was no getting it back in the bag it came with. Tent is huge and a bit unruly to fold up for storage. I love all the guy lines and it feels very sturdy. I expected the fabric to be a little more sturdy though. It is great that it is light and breathable. Floor a bit flimsy. I bought a tarp to put underneath, there must have been a rock under that which caused a fray in the bottom, not a full blown hole, but beginnings of one. Some of the stakes it came with bent out of shape. As others have said, a major design flaw is that the side windows are only accessible from outside, hate that feature, but we guyed out and kept them open the whole time even during the rain and no water got in. It kept us warm at night and during the day in 80+ degree weather it did not feel overwhelmingly hot, I thought it would with the dark fabric. It is very spacious we had a queen and 2 twin mattresses and tons of space for baggage. Overall I am glad I bought and we will use for years to come, I hope that beginning hole in the floor holds up with some patching.

    Have to review!

So, we have had this tent for a year and a half now….it is fairly easy for 2 people to set up. It fits a queen and a double mattress inside with a table (yes!) that I use for daily stuff…setting out mirror, makeup, essentials, etc., plus room for big boxes of our gear and clothes and a travel potty, with room to walk around. HOWEVER, we just got home from a trip today; last night, a wind storm came through with gusts up to 40mph….our tent was one of the few left standing! We even took a friend in when their tent’s poles split and the tent collapsed at 2am. At times the tent (now named Bertha) inflated and shifted like a behemoth breathing, but never, never failed! And despite the temperature rapidly falling into the low 40’s, there was no wind leaks inside the tent….amazing!!!! My only grump is the bag….it was flimsy and tore after the first use…..we store “Bertha” in a hard case now.

    Excellent Tent!!

This is a great tent! We purchased because of the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. We took the tent for a 4 day camping excursion in the Black Hills of South Dakota. There were thunder storms three of the four nights and we had no issues with water getting into the tent. We had 2 queen air mattresses and camp gear and there was plenty of room for all of it with a lot to spare. I over heard our camping neighbor call it the Taj Mahal of tents. For its size it is relatively easy to set up. My wife and I had it set in about 30 mins (it will definitely take 2 people to set it up). We did not tie down the guy lines initially and ended up doing this in the middle of the first thunder storm. Once we secured the tent with the guy lines there were no issues during the next 2 storms. It was easy to break down and pack in the carrying bag. All in all this is an excellent family tent with plenty of room and it is truly 100% waterproof!

Great Tent with a Minor Exception

Bought this tent for its waterproof-ness and it didn’t disappoint. In a week, we went through 3 storms, it stayed water tight even when I didn’t set the tie-downs at first. In fact, when a storm was coming, I simply got back in my tent and sleeping bag and slept through the fairly intense storm–not worried about the tent. We never had a leak. I like the size of the tent, lived in it for 3 weeks this summer. The only downside that I can think of is the door design–it is great until it rains. The door slopes back over the tent which creates a challenge when you open it in the rain… rain can then fall directly into the tent. However, I am still very happy with this tent and delighted with how weatherproof it is.

Great tent, terrible instruction on proper setup.

While I love the tent and basic setup is easy the major problem that I have with this tent is the lack of clear instructions on properly securing the rain fly with all of the guywires. It has tons of room and certainly will be great for our trip to Colorado in a couple of weeks. My only issue is the fact that when you have a tent with this many individual pieces, there needs to be a very clear guide on properly setting it up or at the very least the company should take the time to post a video for their tents so that customers are able to really take advantage of the great quality product that they are supplying customers.I can only give it a 4 star review as a result because it’s rather confusing as I’ve seen pictures that don’t give a clear indication on a proper setup as various people have set it up slightly different in how they secure it.

    Very tough tent!

I love the fact that this tent is compact and light weight. This is perfect for quick road trips. This tent is incredibly durable! Just yesterday in Jacksonville Florida there were ferocious wind gust up to 20 miles an hour. This tent didn’t collapse or blow away! However, because I didn’t have tent anchors in at the time some of the stakes came out and the tent took on some water. But that’s the only time the tent ever leaked. Now I have tent anchors and I’m totally confident this tent will withstand some serious inclement wearher. I would definitely buy another. The only critique I have is that it could be a bit talller. I’m 6’3 and I can only stand straight up in the middle section. Besides that, I have no complaints.

    I LOVE this tent!

We bought this tent in anticipation of a 7 day camping trip at Yellowstone. This tent was awesome. It withstood winds of about 30 mph, a couple of thunderstorms and some warm days. I’ve never had a tent that didn’t leak at least a little bit, but this tent did not leak at all. We have been tent camping for five years and have used a variety of different tents. I cannot say enough good things about this tent. The only drawback, like everyone says, is that you can only open the windows from outside the tent. Is that a drag? Kind of. It would be nice to close it while I change and then open it again, but opening it from outside is not that big of a deal. Other than that – the zippers and the tent material feel like very high quality.

Our new tent started in the Adirondacks and then the Catskills…It rained both times( of course) and this baby held up great. The poles seem like they should last a good 5-10 years and zippers and seams are very well made. Directions were very minimal though and the neon guide lines for the rain guard were a bit of a mess…..also the stakes are just your basic skinny metal ones so upgrade them if you care about that stuff…I personally don’t mind..It’s also a bit of a squeeze to get it back in the bag, but if you care about it you will take the time to roll and fold it properly. They say it is an 8 to 10 man tent but I say 2 couples or a family of 6 would be a comfortable limit..but it would definitely fit more in a pinch..I could go on but will just save you the research and give it 5 stars and just say that for your money this is the best you will find.

    What a tent!

Just got back from a rainy windy weekend in this tent and I can say enough about it! From Friday into early Sunday it rained 2 inches with wind gusts of 50 mph. We purchased this as a replacement for our smaller tent we have out grown. As this was the first time we’ve used it we weren’t sure what would happen. This tent kept us dry as a bone and with proper securing, it didn’t budge. We tossed in a straw carpet for comfort, used a really nice tarp underneath and we didn’t get a single drop of water, even in the wind driven rain.It also has ample space for all of your things and the screen room made the perfect spot to drop or store all your shoes and gear!I honestly couldn’t wait to leave this review. All of these photos were taken after the rain cleared out. Bone dry. Impressed!! Very well done.I would absolutely recommend this tent. 👏

Great customer Service and quality materials!!

UPDATE: The company reached out to me soon after my initial post and they were very apologetic. I do believe my experience isn’t standard of their products and chose to give the tent another try. It really is made of quality material and it’s a unique tent for sure. The company sent a new pole for the pole that snapped AND a new interior tent since it had been damaged by the pole, all at no cost to me. They definitely fixed the situation and how I felt about the whole thing. I’m actually hopeful to try more of their products. Though we have yet to go camping again and put the tent to use, we look forward to doing that very soon. I hope to be updating to 5 stars at that point. There’s a previous comment here about not setting up right, but that is not the case though I appreciate random guesses. My wife is an avid camper and I certainly understand directions and took the wind direction into consideration. Overall though solid 4.5 stars!I hate leaving bad reviews but I have tried their customer service hotline which apparently belongs to a strange woman, and it just keeps ringing until going to voicemail. I am STUCK with the bad taste of this tent. I purchased it after doing weeks of research on a good tent. Finally I took the plunge based on the great reviews. Shipped and got to me quick enough and my partner and I pitched it in our front yard no real problems. Then came our camping trip a little later. Our first night there the tent just didn’t live up to the hype. It wasn’t as stable as I expected and although the materials seemed quality, it really wasn’t in practice. We had slight wind nothing crazy maybe 10-15 mph gusts here and there. The nightmare really started when I saw the poles starting to overbend. Repositioning and tying the fly down yadda yadda struggle struggle, sweat and tears, nothing helped. The tent just couldn’t hack it. Well sure as we start to try and relax, one gust comes by and SNAP! There goes a pole. I wish that would have been it. But the snapped, jagged pole tore its way through the fine mesh of the tent. So pole broke, tent ripped and falling on us, we literally couldn’t use it. Having no real choice, we drove from our campsite to the nearest WalMart nearly 2 hours away and bought an Ozark Trail tent, similar size to the NTK Arizona for 1/3 the price. That tent pitched and held up for the 4 days left of our camping trip. We even took it to other sites since then and now I’m just trying to figure out what to do with this very broken and pricey NTK tent that we’ve literally not even used for a single night. Just a tip to everyone: reviews aren’t everything.

Awesome tent for long term camping!

Hello I am reviewing the NTK Arizona 9-10 person tent.First of all I would like to begin by saying the reason I got this tent is because I needed something that would be able to be left up for weeks without issues.I work at a Renaissance Festival in Michigan and had a tent that I had used for many years ..I used a tarp system over it and without being there during the week to get rain water off my old tent was destroyed. So I started researching different tents..there were some that REI put out however they were around $500 plus..way more than I had to spend..so I was searching on Amazon and found the NTK Arizona tent..let me start by saying I went to the direct website for the product and these tents are actually designed for the Amazon Rain Forest..I thought if the tent could handle the rainforest it should be able to handle Michigan’s wacky weather.I put the tent up at the beginning of September and no sooner than I put it up it started pouring..after the storm blew over I checked inside the tent..totally dry!!The tent remained up for about 4.5 weeks..Even though there were many torrential downpours the tent remained dry inside with no additional tarp over it!!! Awesome!!As you can see in the pictures I posted it is quite roomy inside..I was using a double high queen airbed and there was still room for a twin airbed,my storage totes a chair and my area rug plus the queen airbed had a walkway next to it on one side while still not touching the other wall..My only complaint is that the windows can only be opened from the outside but there is plenty of ventilation in the tent as a lot of the inner part of tent is mesh..However that was a small trade off to have a tent that could stand up to the weather..Also when putting up the tent pay close attention to the directions ..the English words are second not first..and make sure you have at least on other person to help you when setting up..I will also add that since I purchased my tent at the end of August the price if this tent had gone up ! So if you think you may want this tent don’t hesitate..Follow all directions and make sure all your guy likes are secure also there is a series of ties that you need to tie the outer portion of tent..the rainfly to the inner part.Overall this is one awesome tent! And I highly recommend it !!Adding to my review. This past Renaissance Festival season in Michigan, I had my tent up for 8 straight weeks!! It was also probably one of the rainiest seasons we have had in a while too. However pleased to report..No leaks, no problems whatsoever.’Might I add since I posted this review originally about a year ago the cost of this tent has drastically went up!(Maybe it was my awesome review)If you need a tent that can handle the elements and you don’t want to worry about leaks this is definitely the tent you want!’

Relatively Easy To Put Up, But Nice To Have Help

The tent came with no instructions. I should have deducted one star, but once I figured out what I needed to do, I put it together by myself without a problem. I’m 6’4″, so handling this tent during it’s unwieldy initial stage was do-able, but it would be nice to have someone help you. The room divider uses loops to secure it in place, but it does the job. Mine didn’t look exactly like the photo on this website, so be warned. You have to put the rain cover on if you want any privacy from the outside. The tent pegs are the standard cheap-o metal ones, so you might want to go out and buy good ones. I’m not so sure how the cheap ones will hold up in a strong wind.UPDATE!This weekend we took the tent out for the second time. When I opened up the bag of tent poles I found that the elastic string had broken on all five pole sets. In short, none of the tent pole sets would stay connected. To remedy this, I used electrical tape to secure each section to the next. Instead of taking 25 minutes to put the tent together, it took an hour. Frustrating to say the least, but when it was time to break-down the tent, I spent even more time removing the tape from each section.I’ll downgrade my review from five to four stars. This kind of failure shouldn’t happen after only the second use. Otherwise, this tent is very easy to assemble, even by one person, but only if you use the proper sequence. Unfortunately I’ll have to use tape to secure the tent pole sections every time I want to assemble the tent, which adds to the amount of time it takes to put the tent together.SECOND UPDATE!Since there is a 1 year warranty on the tent, I contacted the company through Amazon to explain the problem. Without asking any questions, other than to confirm my address, they sent out a full replacement set of tent poles within a few days. I call that very attentive customer service. I have not had the opportunity to try out the replacement poles yet, but I’ll try to remember to write an update after a few more successful assemblies and takedowns.

    Backpackers turned Car Campers

Since we were going to be car camping we thought we should maximize the interior tent space as much as we could. But we also wanted something that was weatherproof so that we could escape the elements if needed and we didn’t want anything getting wet. Additionally, our teenage daughter had expressed that she would like something more luxurious than our usual backpacking adventure so this was our attempt to go in that direction. We had never heard of this company, however we were very pleased.Weather: While we did not have rain during the week we camped, there were several very windy days that the tent was absolutely fine in. The rainfly design, material and coverage were excellent so we felt confident that if it did rain we would stay dry. We will update this review, if for some reason there is an issue with rain on any trips in the future.Space: This is a very spacious tent. We had 3 larger than average sized cots with small bedside tables. Our luggage “bench”, a dining/game table w/ 3 chairs and space for a large dog cot and bed. We could stand upright in it easily though near the sides at the ends of the tent our heads would rub. There was room enough for several different possible configurations. There was easily room to add an additional cot/person with enough separation for everyone to feel they had space. We also wanted the feeling of privacy since the campground we were staying in was pretty crowded and sites were very close together. This did the job well.Setup took us 20 minutes to a half an hour. Packing up was fine though we did bring some velcro cinching straps to tighten it down after rolling it up so that it would fit in the bag. It is heavy of course. All in all – very happy with this choice.

    Happy Campers

After researching many tents for weeks, I went with this tent. Pound for pound, stitch for stitch there is no tent that compares to it near this price range. The next step up imo was a canvas Kodiak that my wife would not let me spend $900 on. Do the research for yourself, if you care to learn about denai ( spelt that wrong most likely) or mil thickness, or just take my word for it and spare yourself a few hours of time. Whatever. The shell of the tent goes up easy. The fly takes a little longer but is not complicated. I anchored all the guy lines as the weather was forecasted as being rainy and awful for our 5 day camping trip. I sprayed the fly prior to the trip because I didn’t want to be that guy who ruined his family’s camping trip because the tent is advertised as being 100% waterproof out of the box. The tent held up to all of the rain without a single leak. I have to be honest, this is the first tent that I’ve ever been able to fall asleep in while enjoying the sound of rain hammering down on it. It felt good knowing the wife and kids were well protected from the elements. This tent does hold heat well. 5 of us slept inside and condensation did build up on the interior but was remedied quickly by opening the windows a little for more ventilation.Sorry I didn’t take any pictures of our set-up on the inside to show the spaciousness of it. I wanted to, but I had fishing and drinking and cooking to do. We had 3 queen size air mattresses set up with adequate room for gear and were able to walk around everything ok.With the weather being as wet as it was we weren’t able to set up the canopy off of the one door, so I can’t comment on that although it seems cool and we look forward to using it. The welcome mat came in handy as a place to ditch our shoes prior to entering.I can keep babbling, but I won’t. If your looking for the best dang family tent for your money, look no further. NTK Arizona got ya covered.

    it is truly waterproof.

I don’t ever write reviews. I just read them to decide on products. but I was very pleased and happy about the ntk Arizona tent that I had to write a review. we went camping right next to Wharton state park in New Jersey right on the Wading river. we went from April 13 to April 15 2019. do your research. we got hammered by extreme winds and thunder storms on Sunday night into Monday morning. over .6 of an inch of rain and wind gusts over 30 mph. don’t know if that is 100% accurate but thats what the weather was calling for. and the storms where so strong it woke all of us up in the hotel room. I was laying there thinking my brand new tent will be destroyed when we get back. although we ended up staying in a hotel since my mother in law was with us and my 2 kids, i was worried to death that the tent would be destroyed and totally soaked with water, along with all our stuff in it. I had the rain fly securely and properly attached and all guy line installed and staked down. when we got back Monday late afternoon I was extremely happy to see the tent still standing. when we parked and I looked in the tent, there wasn’t a drop of water, not a single drop of water from the rain. well I lied there was a little water from the cooler leaking. haha. but I was all smiles. I have never owned a tent that didn’t leak. it is a great tent. very roomy. easy to assemble. and did I mention it really keeps out the water. this is not a fake review!!!! the one thing I would recommend is better stakes for the tent. I am very glad I bought larger stakes.

    Awesome tent

I’m super impressed with this tent. We are relatively new to camping and my husband was concerned about being wet – I knew that if we got wet at all that it would be a deal breaker for him. We went camping and it literally flooded – we stayed dry the entire time. The bathtub floor and complete rainfly are amazing – and the ventilation is well done so that you don’t get hot.The tent is spacious enough to fit our family of 7 comfortably along with gear. As the kids get bigger it will obviously be tighter but for now there’s plenty of room. The set up is easy – there are just five poles. I don’t love that the tent isn’t really freestanding – you have to stake in the ends for the tent to completely stand up. There are two red poles that cross and three white poles that don’t cross. The three white poles literally fall over if the tent isn’t staked into the ground and I would much prefer that it stand without staking. Also the canopy that opens toward the front isn’t super well designed – if you want to keep it open and it is raining even a little, the water gathers in the middle and it collapses. I’d also love it if the side door opened up rather than to the side so that you could leave either flap open during threatening weather. The tent also has several extra anchor points for windy weather, which is awesome, but we haven’t had to use those yet.We haven’t ever been able to fold it back into its original bag so we’re using a different one, but I think that’s relatively normal.Overall I’m REALLY happy with this purchase and would definitely buy this tent again.

After 3 years, 3.5 months of total usage.

My favorite large tent I have owned. Good times.Pros; Very spacious and nice to work in on rainy days, held up to wind very well for such a high profile tent, I had always stayed very dry with the exception of my last day in it, A nice interior layout overall, It was nice to keep all of my gear, cooler, and kitchen box all within its confines whilst allowing more room in my sub-compact car for sharks.Cons; Needs beefier tent poles, it still takes a lot of space even when crammed in the bag, you need to keep the rain cover on for U.V. protection all of the time or else holes will pop up randomly from U.V. degradation (the mosquitoes are waiting). The floor had several small holes after a while that fire ants always found a way in (I never laid a tarp underneath it although it was always turf grass or soft sand) my fault? Lastly it is not tornado proof as you can see from the picture. Luckily a tree landed on me and kept me from blowing away, unlike the poor sap who was sleeping in a hammock tent next to me and then got blown into the woods behind me, he was twisted up the the trees screaming for help. Sorry I know not of the brand he was using 🙁

    Nice tent, but

It’s a great size and seems quite well made. My issue is that your only options are to use it without the rain cover, so it’s got tons of mesh and little privacy. Or you put the rain cover over it, which makes it nice and dark, but it also blocks your windows and makes it so you have to go outside to open them. If it’s raining, you don’t have much ability to open anything for air through the tent 🙁
