So far this is an awesome find. 7,000 joules and 1,000 amps. Heavy duty clamps. The cords are short but the unit is so small and lightweight that I could put it right near the battery jump hookups. My 5.3L V8 had a very dead battery. Nothing would light up on the dash. There was not even a hint of the engine trying to start when I turned the key. The NOCO initially would not work but then I read the instructions which said that for safety concerns it looked for at least 2V or it would not engage. I used their manual override and then the car started right away. The battery was so dead that I had to hold an elevated engine idle for a while. This shows how dead the battery was, but the NOCO did the job. Very impressive. It only weighs 2.6 pounds which is about one-tenth the weight of equivalent battery jumpers.

 Surprisingly light and small. Charged quickly and was ready to roll. My Jeep Wrangler battery was dead, so I made a video of me trying to jump it. It turns out I needed to leave the GB40 connected to my battery terminals for a minute or so before the engine was ready to turn over.I used the GB40 three times in one day (I was intentionally seeing how it would perform) and the charge was down to the 75% mark. After the first jump (needing to keep the battery connected for a minute), the two other jumps were instant. My batter probably just needed more help on the first jump.I’m very impressed with how lightweight and well-made the product feels. You may want to ensure the clamps reach your positive and negative/ground posts, since they don’t have a lot of reach between them. They fit a standard battery easily. My wife’s vehicle has the ground post separated from the exposed positive terminal on her battery, but it still reached without issue.Note – these come with a USB cable to charge it, but it does NOT come with an AC wall charger. I used an AC USB wall charger (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JHZXCQD) to charge two of these at once (one for me, one for my wife) – they simultaneously charged to 100% in less than three hours.

I bought the Noco GB40 a few days ago for my father and I am highly impressed. He has a GMC 5.7L V8 Savana van and has had some intermittent battery issues (something slowly draining the battery). After charging the GB40 I tested it on the van.A jump starter for the average driver is not something that you readily use, however it is very important that it works when you need it the most. In testing, I removed the side post connectors and hooked up the GB40. Then in manual override I was able to start the van. There was a slight hesitation, however it did start within the first 3 seconds.I have used other battery jump starters and this was the only one that I found that would start his van.Since the rating for the GB40 is towards the upper limit of his van, I bought another Noco, this time the GB70 for him. I didn’t want to take any chances of it not starting (although it did without the battery). I will just keep the GB40 for my Jeep Renegade.In conclusion, this review is for the GB40. The Noco products are VERY well made and the clamps are excellent. Well worth the price and highly recommended.

I use a Genius battery tender so this was the brand I searched for. Rattling around in the trunk for a year, it got me started without breaking a sweat. The second time I had to use it, my battery was dead at 6 volts out of 12. The little charger couldn’t start the truck and kept connecting and disconnecting with an overcurrent problem. I decided to let the device do its thing. I kept it on the dead battery for 15 minutes and it finally cranked over and started. Amazing. It took every drop of juice this little gizmo cold muster and it brought back a battery from the dead safely and automatically and got me unstuck.Best money spent. If it ever dies, I’ll replace it with the same brand without hesitation.

Noco 7000I unboxed the unit. It charged very quickly. I went right out and jumped a vehicle on the first try This vehicle is natirionsly hard to start and harder to jump. It was a 5.3L (327 cubic inches) engine. The unit still shows a full charge. This is a great product. I no longer have to take a chance on messing up the electrical system on a vehicle by jumping it from another vehicle. I can avoid that commonplace hazard which happens way too often. Now. I just hook up the Noco 7000 with it’s safety features, which is designed to prevent that problem. I can’t believe I didn’t buy one of these before now! From now on it will always be in my truck. Added to which, this winter when my coworkers need a jump, I can use the Noco 7000 without fear of retribution for messing up their electrical system on their vehicle or my own truck. Now I am going to get one for my wife so she doesn’t have to rely on the kindness of strangers and the occasional pyscopath so wants to pull her into a windowless van! It’s a waste until you need it.I’m NOT kidding as I was writing this review my 2nd noco was delivered. This powerful small jump starter keeps a charge,I haven’t charged it in 2 months and it’s still at 100 but thats not following the instructions. My alternator died on me one time and this thing worked over and over. I scheduled a mechanic to look at it the next day. It works in all kinds of cold weather. I live in Michigan so you know it gets cold!This little thing will save your life. Always be prepared.

This is an honest review of this item, which I purchased full price on Amazon.com:I bought this as an alternative to jumper cables our vehicles emergency kits. As you all know jumper cables require you to have another vehicle, these do not. This comes in very handy when you are alone out somewhere, at night with minimal help around.From my testing on our 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i (OLD BATTERY, Replaced now) I was able to jump it 9x without any problems. I then tested its cellphone recharging ability, I was able to charge my iPhone 8 Plus full 5x without any problems.I was able to recharge the jump pack via usb in about 9hrs, after the first use and recharge I preformed the tests again with pretty much identical results minus one phone charge.For the price, this is the best bang for your buck jump pack you can buy. Its compact size is also a huge benefit! So if you are in the market for a jump pack, consider this one first!

I have had my Noco for over a year and finally had to use it today. My model of car is notorious for being a battery-drainer and I knew there would come a day I needed it. It is Christmas Eve and today was the day that I found a dead battery (of course, on a day I am not about to go get a new battery) but it was exactly zero problem because this Noco had me up and running in mere seconds with an instant start!It holds a charge a long, LONG time and I have only freshened up the charge every 4 months or so, whether it needed it or not since I hadn’t used it. Even before I needed it I was impressed enough to give one to each of my adult daughters this Christmas and now I have 100% confidence that if they are ever stuck they can get going immediately! No more stringing jumper cables between stranger’s cars on a dark night, no trying to remember the order of connection between cars, no fear of just getting out there and doing it themselves. Everyone should have one of these in their emergency roadside kit!

One of the Top 10 greatest vehicle gadgets I’ve ever purchased for any car or truck I’ve owned.A must have especially for roadtrips and or if you have an older battery. Bought this for our 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to use this for six months every time we started the truck as the battery we wanted wasn’t available. Kept the NOCO charged properly and it never failed.DRIVING TIP.buy one of these for a long road trip. Also, buy one for everyone you care about that drives, especially if they drive at night or when the clocks change and it gets dark earlier in the evening, late afternoon. You won’t have to worry their car battery died and they’re sitting in a parking lot or side of the road.It’s also great for an emergency charge of your phone or other mobile device. It also has a nice bright LED lite and LED flasher. However, I’d recommend NOT getting into the habit of using it for your mobile devices as you might just need it one day to jump start your car and might not have recharged it in a whlle. Buy another type of extra battery charge for your mobile and entertainment devices. Use this just for emergencies.They have small amp models and larger ones too. With this type of emergency device, bigger is better. Get at least the 1000 amp,I’d love to test out the other products NOCO makes. This one is spot on perfect.

Being elderly, and for the most part housebound, I do not use my car more than a few times a year. The last time that I drove it was last August, and at that time I had to have AAA jump start my car as the battery was completely dead. A few weeks late I attempted to use the car, but even the entry lights and dashboard lights were out. I assumed that the battery was not only dead, but bad too.I decided this past week to start using the car again. To that end I bought a Noco GB40, as the one thing that I do know about cars is how to jump start them. I dot not want to rely on AAA. So, my thought was to start the car and drive it to an auto shop and have them replace the battery. I went out this morning with the GB40, attached it to my car’s battery, and saw that the ‘Boost Light’ did not come on. So, I pressed the manual override, and when the lights flashed went into my car and tried to start it. It turbaned over and start in less than a second.I warmed up the car but did not take it out if the garage as there is too much snow in the ground. Next week when the snow melts, I will jump start my car again and bring it in for a new battery.
