This little solar lantern is great! I bought one for my son for Christmas, and a few weeks later he and my husband went on a camping trip with their Boy Scout troop. My hubby came home from that trip and said, “You’ve gotta get me one of those inflatable lights – it was awesome!” So now they each have one, and they use them regularly. There’s a strap on the top of the lantern that you can use to hang it up wherever you need light, and my guys often use a carabiner to hang them from the loop at the top of their tents. It puts out a lot more light than you would expect from something so small – one lantern alone illuminates our little 3-person tents. The lantern is lightweight and collapses down to a little disc when you’re not using it, which makes this light a great option for backpacking trips. The solar panel is on the bottom of the lantern, so my guys hang them from their backpacks to charge while they’re hiking and then they’re ready to go when the sun goes down.I bought a third Luci light for my father-in-law, and he uses it when he goes RV camping. We’ve also used these lanterns at home when our power went out after a winter storm. They didn’t do anything to keep us warm, but at least we had light! =) All around, this little Luci Lux solar lantern is a great product. They’ve been good to have on hand in multiple situations, and I’m very happy with our purchases.

I love this light! My friend had recommended the Luci light to me a while ago and I finally bought it. And I should have bought it a long time ago. I wake up before dawn on weekdays and my husband is still asleep when I’m getting ready. I was using the flashlight function on my phone to find shoes or walk through the bedroom or whatever I needed in the mornings. But it didn’t work very well. This light is perfect. The low setting is plenty of light to find what I need without shining in his eyes. The high setting is bright enough to read by. And I love how lightweight this is. Our house is very old so the light switches are in odd places. So even in the evening sometimes I use it when I go from one side of the house to the other just because it’s so convienient. And I love it when I take a bath, it’s waterproof so the steam doesn’t bother it and it’s just the right amount of light to read a book by without having the overhead light shining in my eyes.We are going to order a few more for when we go camping and also just for using around the house or emergencies. We’re trying to decide which model to get next. Definitely more of this one for the house though.

I got one of these and one of the Outdoor 2.0 (B074NQLRTF). They are both great but they have different uses. It can be kind of hard to figure out the difference between all the models. This light is a warmer white light (sort of a coral color), has one closed strap (on the solar panel side), is translucent but not transparent, and has an extra-low setting. The Outdoor 2.0 is a cool white, has one closed strap and one strap that opens and closes with snaps, is transparent and doesn’t have an extra-low setting. They both last many nights on a full battery.I got the Outdoor for … outdoor nighttime activities (like dog park and playing board games while camping), and I got the Lux as a night light for camping because I have a sleep disorder that is worse when it’s pitch black. I have to have a light on, but bright lights bother everyone and blue lights disturb your sleep, and managing batteries is a huge pain. So I wanted a solar light that was warm and had a very low setting. The flame/candle Luci seemed like a good idea, but they flicker, which is bad for my sleep issues. I’ve used the Lux at home for several nights and it worked great, especially because you can easily aim it where it won’t bother you. I’ve also used it at the dog park and it didn’t light up a huge area but it was enough that we didn’t fall in any holes, and my dog jumped on it twice and it didn’t pop or break. (She once trounced a thick rubber raft twice and that popped.)The only issue I’ve had so far is that it takes much longer than 7 hours to charge these in the available light (in summer in the PacNW, in a poorly positioned apartment/parking spot), and the best place to charge them is in the car, but it’s so hot that I’m afraid they’ll be damaged, so I don’t. My home windows just don’t get enough light. Oh, and the Lux should have two straps, not just one, and one or both should be adjustable. I wanted to hang it upside down but there’s no strap on the bottom (??!?). Another time, I wanted to hang it from a sign but I didn’t have a carabiner so I couldn’t hang it at all. Also, the buttons are flat so they’re hard to find in the dark, and it’s of course always dark when I try to turn the light on. Still a five-star product and a five-star solution, given the price, quality and features. I love when things work like they’re supposed to.

One of the best purchases I’ve made all year. Great for camping, the backyard, and also for reading in bed at night. A day’s charge will last a couple of evenings of regular use. It does dim as it starts to lose power, but you get a lot of usable light overall for relatively little time charging, and they’re light enough and, thanks to inflatability, compact enough to really be backpacking-worthy. I can’t even describe how big of a difference it makes to have a warm-toned light at night in the tent or the campsite as opposed to a harsh blue-toned headlamp or similar.Plus, they’re made pretty dang tough, and fairly water resistant to boot, which is another plus for camping and outdoor usage. I wouldn’t leave one out in the pouring rain… but I’ve definitely left mine outside a few times during minor rainstorms and it doesn’t seem any worse for the wear.If you’re thinking about it, get it.

My first Luci light, but had been ordering a similar product that was good but about 25% failed (price differential still made it least expensive). Always buy the softer frosted look and always bright enough for easy reading, and while car camping. The upgrade was excellent. A recharge indicator, and ability to turn off by holding down switch instead up clicking through 3 settings to off. Will order again next time I need another such collapsible solar lantern or gift.

These are light, compact, charge decently fast in the sun, and last many hours on a charge, so they are good for a variety of purposes. For us, it is for power outages (frequent here), as well as hiking and camping.I bought a couple of these matte lights as well as the standard clear Mpowerd ones. They both have their usages, but I usually prefer these soft-light ones. The clear ones let more light through, so they are a little brighter, but these matte ones have such nice light and aren’t harsh to glance at. I bought all these lights mainly for power-outages but my wife and I like the matte ones so much for ambiance that we use them at other times around the house too.

These are great for camping, but also around the house. We’ve used them when the power has gone out in storms, under sinks and in closets when doing repairs, and on the dining table to set a mood with decorations. Three light settings plus a blinking function (not sure when I’d use that), but we almost always use the brightest setting. Easy to recharge, just set it in a window. We’ve given these for gifts for family and as part of tips for guides in Africa and South America who go out in the bush where there is no power but there is a lot of sun.

This is my 2nd Luci light. The first one was an Outdoor 2.0 version that went missing on it’s first hike. I ahd attached it to the outside of my pack, and I guess the button strap couldn’t take my stomping around. The other light was bright, but it was the cold LED color. It also made shadows where the walls were crinkled from being folded. This baby has fixed all of that. The strap is permanently attached (you’ll have to thread your own cord through, some might not like that). It’s frosted, so there’s no weird wrinkle shadows even though there are still wrinkles in the sides. And is has the warm yellow glow of incandescent bulbs. I didn’t think that last one would make much difference. I was wrong.

I have had mine for several years now and they STILL work excellent. As noted in other reviews they are challenging to charge! Be certain you have them absolutely in direct sunlight at all times or it will take a couple of days to FULLY recharge them. I believe doing some research and making a solar magnifier to recharge them with would solve that problem.

This is a great little light. My grandson was very happy with it as a night light. Minor issues: the place where you inflate it sticks out making it necessary to support the light with a rock or small board to create the best angle for recharge. The directions on the box are minimal and don’t explain how to deflate it for transport (hint: I used a wood chopstick inserted into the hole). But overall it worked well and is pleasant to have on.
