I have 3 strands of these lights connected end to end. I really like that the connection pieces has a cover that screws over the connection so that it doesn’t come apart and it also protects that part from rain.I would say the plastic light is actually pretty durable. While initially setting them up, I dropped the strand a few times from 6 feet up. They landed on my patio and didn’t crack. The plastic doesn’t look cheap and gives it a softer glow, in my opinion.I live in a rainy state and I haven’t seen any water pooling in the “bulbs” at all. The cord seems durable as well — I haven’t experienced any flickering of lights while pulling at the strand to hang it up in the trees.My entire backyard is lit up by just these 3 strands. It makes everything look so inviting and my guests love it. I’ve had these for a 3 months now. I will update you if they fail excessively fast or any other issues.I feel like I should get a free strand of lights for my glowing review (pun intended). Seriously though…they are great.

What can possibly top string lights? Well you control them through your phone, turn them on/off, make it twinkle, control the brightness all through an app. Connection is through Bluetooth and it was extremely easy. Hanging them was a breeze as well. The bulbs are LED so won’t shatter like real bulbs and being for outdoors use it is waterproof. I can’t imagine having to replace so many bulbs after they burn out.

The app alone is worthy of the the purchase. Govee listens to their customers.This led outdoor light string feels pretty solid definitely has bright soft 3500 to 4000 Kelvin light temperature if there is one thing I wish it could do instead was offer different color temperatures in the future of me pick up the colored LED version of this for right now I’m using this as ambient light for my seasonal campsite.Another pro to this light string is the length of cord from the last light to the plug and the ability to add another light string to it.

At 50% brightness it seems like a good light level, I didn’t expect to get as bright as they do.Been through rain and hail and seem to be holding up just fine.A little bit of a delay on the app to the Bluetooth receiver but it’s no biggie.

I’m convinced that Govee is better then both Phillips hue, and lifx these lights are amazing to set up and make out patio look like a fun oasis. Literally no cons and all the pros I could give, not just beat bang for buck.. But also very modest and overlooks it’s more expensive ( over priced ) predecessors. Govee just does it right.

Very happy with these lights! Bought two strands to connect and they easily went together. The brightness is great, the picture is at 100% late at night, I’ll definitely be keeping them closer to 50%. App is easy to use (I have several Govee products) and control is instant.

 Only thing I’m not fond of is the manual says the outlet plug is not waterproof or weather resistant…but this is an outdoor electric unit :/ other wise, no issuesI have a 12×10 pergola, I used 2 different sets of lights from the brand. 1 96ft light and 1 48ft light. The connections are NOT JOINABLE so you won’t be able to connect them because the connector size difference. I ended up having to overlap the lights slightly and plug both sets into the wall outlet individually. Other than that, I like the app and control. They look great.

I love these so far! I’ve had them up for about a week. They get bright enough to allow our back porch to light up. I love the Bluetooth on/off and dimmable function using the app in case one of us goes to bed and forgets to dim them or turn them off before bed. I love that they aren’t breakable. They aren’t as attractive as my Edison bulb strands, but at least it works and aren’t shattered! Im not sure how weatherproof they are since we are in 100 degree weather and also in a covered area. But hopefully they can endure our crazy October winds.
