For the price you can’t beat them but they are not real 1 gauge jumpers they are equal to 4 gauge copper wire ones due to they are made from aluminum copper plated I bought them for commercial use and found that out they were not Copper but aluminum painted to look like copper and clamps are steel coated copper they worked but not on heavy trucks and equipment more for cars and light trucks if diesel didn’t have power to jump from dead but if needed a little boost worked fine

I am pleased with the 20-foot 4 Gauge jumper cable set made in China by EPAUTO. The cable is copper coated aluminum, known as “CCA.” It took microscopic examination to see the aluminum core in the fine wires forming the cable. I measured the resistance using an Agilent 34401A 6.5 digit bench multimeter in 4-wire resistance mode to be about 0.4 ohm per 1000 feet which is appropriate for #4 copper coated aluminum. This is equivalent to #6 copper. I was hoping this cable was 100% copper, but it was not advertised as such. It is not likely that any jumper cable in this price class would be 100% copper. The storage bag supplied with the cables is too small. Unlike others, my review is truly honest as I paid full price for this item and did not receive any discount for my review. Compensated reviews are influenced reviews.

+ High quality+ adequate length+ provides great transfer of power through 4 gauge cable+ bundles into relatively small package taking up little cargo spaceWhy would anyone need 20 foot booster cables? The distance between two batteries when pulling a car bumper to bumper is only 6 to 8 feet, right?Best case scenario, yes you only need 6 to 8 feet. However we live in the real world. I cannot remember the last time I boosted someone else’s vehicle in a parking lot where I had bumper to bumper access, or even side by side access. The world is not that considerate. I have found myself boosting a vehicle with another vehicle parked in between. I have boosted a vehicle while parallel parked in front of or behind the vehicle I was boosting. These are not far fetched scenarios. This is just how fortune throws every curve ball while you are attempting to help another. Reasonable price for a product that is useful in an unreasonable and common situation.

These are good jumper cables. Thick wire and good working clamps. Could not find any thick ones in stores. Glad i bought them long, saves time when dump trailer batter dies too.

I bought these jumper cables over 3 years ago and thought that it was finally time to write a review, because they have served me so well. I have previously bought cheaper, lower quality cables that just weren’t able to charge my battery (or batteries of others). Not these cables! These cables are so long and sturdy that they work better than any other pair I have. I just finished using them on a friend’s car who had a poor quality pair that didn’t work. I came out and helped him with these cables and they worked great. They come in a convenient holder which is nice and has also held up. They are just of an awesome quality that they give me peace of mind because they’ve bailed me out at least three times now.

Nice set of jumper cables. Stay flexible when chilly outside. I have used them for dual battery tractors, cars, trucks, etc. I was a little concerned about being copper/aluminum construction, but after several high amperage jumps I have confidence these cables will serve me well. I contemplated building my own, but I’d easily be well double the $42 price tag on these. I own three sets. If you take your time and wind them correctly they fit fine in case. Heavy duty clamps are also on these guys.

These heavy duty jumper cables look and feel sturdy and ready for the task at hand. I have not used them yet, since they are for emergencies, but I doubt that I will have any issues with their performance. However, I really like the nylon bag that came with the cables; it makes it easier to store in the car and protect them from the elements. I am also pleased with the gloves that came with the cables. The velcro-like surface makes it easier to keep the gloves together and to protect my hands when the time comes to use the cables to restart a car. Overall, I feel that I received great value and a quality product.

These are great. I bought two sets, one for each car. I went with the 4 gauge because I know the lower the gauge, the heavier the wire, and I wanted good strong cables, but I must say I probably went overboard with not only the gauge but the length; the package (the cables, rolled up, in their round plastic bag) is quite heavy and takes up a fair amount of space; not an issue if you have a big car and trunk (or room under the seat) but one of these sets is for a Miata with a trunk that barely holds a couple bags of groceries, so I’m trading one of these pair for a shorter, lighter gauge pair. Neither the gauge nor the length is a fault of the cables, they offer plenty of options. But give some thought to both the gauge you need (12 is probably the most common) and the length (12-16′ might make more sense). You want your cables to be long enough to reach from one car’s battery to the other car’s battery, even if the batteries are on opposite sides, but you don’t want the cables to be so long that you don’t have room to store them.

Happy with the cables I received. Have not tried them at really low temps, but very flexible at 40 degrees, much more than I expected for such heavy gauge cables. Clamp quality looks good with very strong spring. Wish I had these for a jump I had to do just before they arrived. Car was in a parking space with no access from front or sides. Had to patch two shorter sets of cables to make the jump stretching from the rear of the vehicle.. Just barely worked, especially with the smaller gauge cables. Can’t wait to see how these work in the same situation. Well, maybe I can wait! Don’t need that trouble, but I feel ready for it now. I split the cables so I could hook them up one at a time without worrying about shorting them out. Seems to make them easier to get back in the bag, also. Anyway, good product, and I recommend them.

My husband is an owner/operator and after a below zero week, he decided we needed new jumper cables for the trucks. We purchased 2 sets, 1 for us to try and 1 for a friend in need. Product arrived a day earlier than promised and were extremely good quality. Thick sturdy cables, coated handles on the clamps, simple carrying case, and bonus gloves made this the perfect purchase. We have saved this item to purchase at a later date and will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new set.
