This axe is actually a great value. What it’s not is a log splitting axe. This is not a elite bushcraft tool either. But it is a great tool around camp for fueling a hobo stove or small fire. It is really strong and sharp out of the box. The belt shealth is amazing. The saw is actually really good but it’s slow. I take my time with it and dont expelling much energy ( your camping what else you got to do?) compared to other saws that cut fast. The hatchet it self is great for removing limbs from small branches. This is a great tool to make a wedge for splitting. I use this for tent stakes small fires and to save my knife from allot of camp work. It’s not that heavy and the saw locks open and closed and has its own liner. It’s a very solid tomahawk like hatchet. I just dont try to push it past it intended use. I also dont Batton my knives either so take it for what it is.

Very nice hatchet. Very light weight and great choppy. Only flaw i find about this product is the handle grip. Not much grip. Ended up using paracord to wrap around but won’t be able to use saw.

Bigger than it looks and very sturdy. Not very sharp on arrival. Sheath fits well.

Not bad at all. “it will cut!”
CK –
Lightweight and compact which is what I was looking for(ultra lightweight backpacking), two wishes though…. more aggressive teeth on the saw and a bit wider hammer head. It gets the job done though and did I mention it’s lightweight?
Dean –
Sharp with a great feel

For the price, it is an incredible tool. I work in West Africa and it has become an indispensable item of my kit.

This is a solid hatchet. The cover is well built and has a clip to keep it on your pack. I purchased this for hunting and it is light enough to carry but heavy enough to function for its intended purpose. The saw locks in and out to prevent accidents.

I did my homework on this brand name. I like what Acme has done bringing in Les Stroud. With the reputation of Camillus, and the input of pros who walk the walk. The feel of this ax is light, and lively. Indexes well.
