I NEVER buy equipment protection for new equipment. HOWEVER I think this is a good idea when you’re buying refurbished equipment.

Waited on hold after web access did not work. Got assistant who listened and put me on to tech support. Waited 20 min had to leave. Will call back and update on what happened,JUST UPDATED TO FIVE STARS. I must have called wrong number. I called back again about my Canon Ink Tank Printer and they saw the test I did. They shipped a box and UPS lable to me and I returned it. Got it baack in a week working perfectly. So. glad I purchased the Office Equipment Protection Plan.

I have used Asurion for many devices and when something broke or failed they were quick to replace it. I would not use anyone else.

We had a product for 2 years (printer). It broke and once they received it back they refunded all the money we spent to purchase it. They stood behind what they said and covered our product. Well worth the money.

I just purchased a HP 200 portable printer. A rather expensive investment for my needs of printing hiking trail maps while camping. But in the event something happens to it during the next 4 years, I have the comfort of knowing that the investment I have made is not at risk of total loss.

The Asurion plan saved me from blowing my lid. After only two years in use my Linksys mesh routers just quit. The same day my routers bit the dust ISP was having area wide outage in my neighborhood. You can imagine the fun I had trying troubleshoot my network. No internet connection (unbeknownst initially) and defective ( dead) routers. Bottom line Asurion provided full purchase price in form of Amazon gift card. Where else would one go shopping anyway. Very satisfied and delighted that I purchased the protection plan. I already ordered my replacement router and once again I added the Asurion protection plan; it well worth the price.

Our existing, uninsured printer died at 2 years old. Just would not power up one morning. It had a one year warranty, so that was that. The chatter on the web was that a power-up failure was not uncommon for that model printer, and it would be cheaper to replace than to repair, and besides, it was now out of production. So we bought a new, different-model printer, this time with the Asurion protection plan, so we have peace of mind for the next several years. The real measure, of course, is their performance against claims. Hopefully, we will never need to file a claim, but if we do, I’ll update this comment at the time. For now, optimism and confidence prevail.

Over the past decade I have taken out ASURION insurance on a number of items. Twice I have used it; once to replace a wireless phone screen and once when my phone “disappeared” from my hotel room while on vacation. I experienced no difficulty with either claim, and both were processed quickly. So when I recently purchased an Electronic Translator from Amazon it was a no brainer to get ASURION coverage.
