Excellent product and service. Just received the griddle yesterday and we are very pleased with the quality: sturdy aluminum griddle, stylish and sturdy legs/handles, quality stainless steel lid, and well designed temperature control which appears to work flawlessly. Minor assembly took ~5 minutes. Purchased it to make injera, but while we wait for the teff batter to mature we used the griddle to cook up a few pancakes for breakfast this morning….they cooked evenly to a light golden hue with well distributed heat from the griddle…We anticipate it will work perfectly to cook injera. The seller even included a personalized, hand written note and the gift of a woven matt for our injera. This griddle and excellent customer service appear to be worth every penny!

This griddle is AMAAAAZING! I have learned (self taught) over the last five years how to make lefse (Norwegian potato flat bread). As a beginner, I started out with the lefse griddle set that comes up first when searching on Amazon and online which has a single ring for the heating element. I kind of felt that my old griddle wasn’t cutting it anymore (probably never did) so I looked for a new one. The design of the ADDIS griddle with three heat rings cut my cooking time IN HALF and created the perfect and even bits of browning that are a hallmark of good lefse! There were no hot spots and the lefse cooked so evenly!I ordered this thinking it would be here around the 14th, but it came early and as luck would have it I had a batch of lefse ready to cook for the holidays. It has a sturdy design, assembled in mere minutes, there was an included screw driver with a magnetized tip (!), I was cooking within 20 minutes. I blew through 70 pieces in a little more than 90 minutes and had NO FAILED PIECES. Some of the other impressive features are the fact that the prong is grounded (three prong), the probe is digital with auto shut off, it heats super fast and evenly, returns to temperature almost instantaneously between pieces. And I had a personal note from Samuel who said, “Thank you for purchasing our product. Your support and trust in us is much appreciated. If there’s any issue with your order, please call/text me at XXX-XXX-XXXX, thank you Samuel.” I sent a quick text and he answered! It was a very nice touchpoint in the buying experience. If you’re thinking of getting a griddle for lefse, GET THIS ONE.

Love my Adis Smart Griddle Arrived as promised with a handwritten thank you note, these days can’t get better than that.1) Love it for homefries and/or hashbrowns. Looking forward to trying flatbreads, tortillas, and similar foods on it. Appreciate I can cook my bacon and potatoes in one place and dirty fewer pans. Fried eggs are a winner, but need to practice more with scrambled. I don’t think I’ve scratched the surface on what I can cook on the griddle. It heats up quickly. Having the lid with it adds to its versatility.2) There was a wobble when on the counter. Contacted Samuel, seller, and after a 5-second troubleshooting video, he sent out a replacement part with a return voucher for the initial part. He was awesome.3) I’m the winner in all this. Great service and great product. Loreitta T.

I was so happy to buy Addis Smart Stove (Smart griddle). I found it to be easy to use, not bulky. This product exceeded my expectation and the customer service I received was the best!I received personalized note from Samuel, who gave me his phone number and offered to answer any questions I may have. Samuel was so prompt in answering my questions not only related to the item I purchased, but also guided me with the steps to successfully my first Injera ever from scratch. Thank you, Samuel! The griddle is so easy to use. So far, we used it for Injera and pancake and it works great. I highly recommend it. You will thank me for taking the time to write this review in as much as I appreciated those who positively rated this Smart Stove.

Guys, i’m in awe. Your search for the perfect Mitad stops here. This Mitad gets heated evenly which is required to make the perfect injera, and then the edges are slightly curved preventing any spillage. It also helps form the perfect circle, if your circling game is sub par like mine you’ll love that feature lol … My Injeras came out so nice, I forgot to take a picture but will do next time and upload here. Fast shipping and secure packaging as well.Thank you Addis Griddle for this awesome mitad or mogogo as my grandma would say!

Works for Breton style crêpes but too dry for sourdough or regular pancakes, these need the butter and are better a little softer, in my opinione. It took me a bit to put it together, the cover doesn’t easily sit where it should, but it heats quickly, and maintains its heat quite well–the warm feature works fine. It is really big…I keep it on top of the (stacked) jumbo clothes dryer when I am not using it.Now if I could only perfect the injere recipe! it’s got the right look but not that sponginess of the restaurant versions.

As others have metioned, this is THE mitad to buy. AND, AddisMitad is the seller to buy it from. Heats up evenly, it is easily assembled, and although I’ve only used it for a short time, appears to be of very high quality.I can’t get over how great the seller is. A personal, handwritten note was included with the sale and (as others have mentioned) we also received a nice spatula as well as a sefed (a grass mat made to move completed injera bread from the griddle). Included in the handwritten note was a cell phone number I was invited to text or call if there were any issues that arose.I don’t think customer service like this has existed since before the Internet was a thing.

I live in a very mixed-culture house. We eat injera almost every other day and had been purchasing it pre-made from a local restaurant once a week or so. Long story short – with the lockdown from COVID we decided to make our own injera and be more self-sustaining (rather than relying so much on purchasing our food).Ordered this Mitad and it arrived I think even a day or two earlier than expected. The seller included a very nice note which appeared to be hand-written and said that if we needed anything or if there were any issues we could call or e-mail him directly. This was a nice gesture but so far has been unnecessary as we have had no issues.I think traditional Mitads are a couple of inches wider in diameter (18-22 inches?) but this 16″ has been perfect for our needs and we’ve noticed no perceptible downsides to having “smaller” injera. For a house and a single family this is the perfect size. Who really wants a 22″ appliance or the need to store a stack of 22″ injera somewhere in their kitchen? So I would say that the “smaller” 16″ Mitad has been a positive experience for us.The functionality of the appliance itself is super easy to use and understand. There aren’t a lot of buttons, which is good, and the buttons that are on the controller make sense and do what you would expect them to do. Raise and lower temperature. Turn on/off, etc.We have made probably over 1,000 injera at this point and have been able to save money from buying it pre-made at the store and also maintain a little bit more self-sufficiency during this pandemic. This was a wonderful purchase that I am so glad that we made.Product has been amazing and shows no signs of wear/tear or signs of slowing down. I expect to be using this same product for several more years at least and would purchase again if needed and recommend this to a friend or anyone looking to make Injera in their own home.Side note: we have also made other foods on this mitad (other traditional Ethiopian breads, dabo, ambasha, etc).10/10 product and seems like customer support would be there if they were needed. Thank you!

Bought it 7 months ago after we went to Paris and had crepes there. This unit makes crepes perfectly. I have researched units 10 times the cost (like the Krampouz) and many of them will have the problem of uneven baking. Not this unit. And the diameter is huge and will yield crepes like we had in France. The digital thermometer is a plus too and works flawlessly. Makes a perfect crepe at 350F. We make sweet and savory crepes and you couldn’t tell a difference between ours and the pro’s. We stress this machine for residential use as well – 10 plus people per meal is common with us.This machine makes seven pancakes at a time and need I mention they cook even? Making pancakes has never been faster for us. What a time saver. We love it. Best machine in our kitchen, and we have many machines, ranging from food dehydrator to wheat grinder because we make most foods from scratch.Great company – they shipped fast, too.
