I’ve never played guitar. I’ve never owned a guitar. So here is my unbiased review on the product I’ve received today. I’m going to address many of the “issues” that had me on the fence on whether I wanted to take a chance on this item or not. My purchase had a $20 off instant savings coupon, so it was only $159.Packaging: The packaging was adequate. It arrived on time and without any damage to the box or any of the items inside.Missing items: All items shown in the description were included in my box. Items are loose in the box. Check all of the packaging if something is missing.Color: the front of the guitar body is natural in color. The sides and back are much lighter than in the pictures. In the pics it looks almost black. Mine has a more “red” color similar to the red in the sunburst colored guitar. The stain is even and the clear-coat appears even all over with no visible blemishes anywhere.Sticker-drama: As others have mentioned, there is a sticker on the pick guard. However, there is a clear vinyl protective layer over the pick guard. Peel that off and the sticker comes off cleanly with it.Gig bag: The bag shipped in the box fits the guitar perfectly. Mine is not too small for the guitar. It’s a snug fit due the bag being folded, but it fits as it should. As for the bags protective value, it’s probably best used to keep dust off of the instrument, it’s not really padded. As for durability, it’s fairly lightweight.Fit & Finish: Two of the pins on the saddle were slightly pulled out. I small bit of pressure seated them correctly. Frets 1 & 2 seem to have a bit of excess glue on the neck. The wood on the neck from the nut to fret #2 is beveled (sanded) a bit to aggressively at the bottom of the neck (at the highest pitch string).Overall impression: it appears a lot of the issues other reviewers have previously mentioned have been resolved. The bag fits the guitar. The sticker is cleanly removed. All the items were in the box. This guitar seems well made and is very nice in appearance. Is it perfect? No. Is it a $350 guitar? No. Is it worth $159? Considering that I got everything that I needed in a “starter kit” I say: Hell Yes!

This is a great quality guitar for beginners. Tuner works perfect and I was very happy with this product. The case is of course a simple thin material. But, overall a great package for the money.

TL;DR Good quality but might need beginner strings/adjustmentBeing brand new to guitar playing I had a lot of trouble with my fingertips (as does everyone). I took it to a guitar tech and he said this was a good quality guitar but suggested placing lighter strings and adjusted the bridge, fret, action stuff for a more forgiving experience. The tuneup cost around $100 but I was pleased to hear this was a quality purchase. I’m confident saying the quality and price warrants 5-stars.

To learn how to play guitar and to play creatively with the skills that I already have. I had no issues whatsoever with the guitar. It is a beautiful looking instrument and all items came as advertised. So happy to be able to tune this guitar with the electronic tuner. I did not have to purchase picks. I have not utilized fender play yet however would do this when I have two weeks to begin the lesson. The Squier by Fender Acoustic guitar does have a deep warm sound. As a beginner I may in near future change the strings. However, beautiful product. I am very happy with my purchase!

For starters it came packed very well. The box was like it was meant to be shipped. The guitar was in great shape and thanks to the included DVD and tuner it now sounds great. In my “player bundle” box I got the gig bag (canvas with carry handle and back pack style straps no pockets inside or out), a shoulder strap, 3 picks, an electronic tuner, a instructional DVD, a certificate for online lessons from Fender and a set of replacement strings. The strings on the guitar may be steel but the replacement strings are bronze.

I have to give a shout out to Austin Bazaar(Seller), The Fender Squier Dreadnought I ordered arrived when it was supposed to but where I was most impressed was the guitar it’s self. I Know this is my first guitar but I wasn’t expecting much for the price. This thing is beautiful and also sounds very nice once I got it in tune. I cannot wait to get started playing with this guitar. I think this will be a great learner guitar for me and others in my family who want to learn. My wife was even impressed with this guitar. It arrived perfectly no scratches, cracks, dents or dings. All I have to say is Thank You Austin Bazaar

I really like this guitar. It comes with all the accessories you’ll ever need! The bag is awesome! Padded and very well made! The guitar is wonderful! Plays great. Excellent for strumming without a pick because the strings are nylon. Great tone! But, not for beginners because it has a thicker neck and of you’re trying to learn chords, it’s tough reaching to the correct strings. Not for young people with small hands. But overall it’s really great! It’s good looking, too!

From the perspective of a beginner with a very astute ear for tones I can honestly say this guitar produces terrific tonal quality with a fullness that is comparable to more expensive choices on the market.I also was very pleased with the companion DVD and I did choose to subscribe to Fender’s fender.com/play site for instructions because I liked what I saw during my 2 week trial of that site.I’m very pleased with my purchase though I did get a more reliable SNARK digital tuner and did restring the guitar with light 12 gauge strings because they are easier to work with as a beginner. The Fender tuner that the guitar came with wasn’t a reliable tuner given it frequently reported I was playing a different string then I was actually playing which caused me to break 2 strings due to over tightening. The companion DVD goes over relative tuning in great detail as well as other important beginner aspects of learning the guitar; great DVD!To summarize, this guitar is terrific for the price and I recommend it for beginners as well as seasoned musicians.

Haven’t used it yet because it barely out of the box yet. It should probably sit for a dy or two just to acclimate to temperature and humidity. However…Based on experience in the long distant past with this same company I expect the instrument to be fine and as expected. I candy it is beautiful and I am waiting with high expectations for my first tuning and opening chords but, much like Christmas, the anticipation is killing me! So far I am very happy with it and looking forward to taking it on the first test ride!

This is a really great guitar. It’s a little big for someone like me (beginner guitar player/petite woman) but I am still able to learn and play on it. It’s only been 4 weeks and I’ve already learned two full length songs. I wish they offered a smaller size, since I find it a bit cumbersome to hold, but I think eventually I will just get used to that, as I play and hold it more and more. Im very happy with it. Also, the tuner it comes with is better than any tuner my friends have purchased separately, so thats an added bonus too!
